Foundation Piering in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin

Piering supports the foundation from below

Foundation Piering in Minnesota, Iowa, and WisconsinAmerican Waterworks can address the problem of foundations that have settled vertically or rotated outwardly. American Waterworks uses Grip-Tite® Pipe Piers for this application.

Here's how it works:

  • A hole or trench is dug next to the foundation to a depth slightly below that of the basement floor.
  • Support brackets are attached to the foundation where it meets the basement floor.
  • Piers are placed deep into the ground below the brackets, then attached to the brackets.

This method has a distinct advantage over concrete underpinning in that the weight of the structure is supported by bedrock instead of the soil that has already failed.

For over 70 years, Grip-Tite® Manufacturing has been recognized as one of the world's leading authorities in earth anchoring technology. Now Grip-Tite® brings their expertise to bear on the problem of setting foundations, providing the sophisticated engineering and cost-effective solutions you've come to expect, and proving once again that Grip-Tite® is "Your answer to all residential-commercial-industrial foundation problems."
