Cory has been with American Waterworks since May of 2013! Prior to joining our team, he worked in various types of construction including carpentry, concrete restoration, and equipment operating. His position consists of repairing sunken and cracked concrete, and making sure that customers are happy with their concrete transformation and outcome.
He enjoys working for American Waterworks because he likes the challenges of completing a difficult job and operating as a team. When he’s not at work, he loves spending time with his family, building things, and watching football and NASCAR. We are happy to have Cory on the team!

Leo S. in Stoddard, WI had water leaking through his wood foundation into his finished basement. Unfortunately, the water had caused damaged to his drywall and flooring. He contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our commercials on TV, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to his home to provide him with a free estimate and unique waterproofing plan. He liked the thorough plan that Pete developed, so he scheduled the installation.
Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production crew removed the damaged portion of the drywall and then removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system. They laid the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, so the water will be properly guided to the sump pump. Next, they filled back the gaps around the WaterGuard with rock and replaced the concrete. Then, they installed the EverLast half-wall restoration system. This wall system includes metal studs and an inorganic, mold-resistant wall product that replaces the bottom 32" of the drywall. This is a permanent solution for water-damaged dry wall! Leo’s peace of mind has been restored and he is enjoying a dry, healthier basement!
Tim W. in Onalaska, WI contacted American Waterworks because he was interested in insulating and encapsulating his crawl space. He knew the space was inefficient and that he could be saving money on his energy bill. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dustin Loftus, who met with Tim, evaluated the situation, and proposed a permanent solution.
Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production crew installed drainage matting, TerraBlock insulation, and our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the floor of the crawl space. Then, they installed our spray foam rim joist insulation and Foamax insulation panels along the walls. These products work together to keep moisture, pests, and potential mold growth out. They also help reduce Tim’s energy bill by making sure energy is not lost through that space. Tim was pleased with the results and happy his crawl space will remain a dry, healthier and more energy efficient space.
Emily S. in Sumner, IA was suffering from a wet basement. Every time they experienced a heavy rain, they were left with a frustrating mess in their basement. Our production team installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system and our TripleSafe sump pump. Water is now properly guided through the drainage system, into the sump pump, and then expelled from the home through the discharge line. A homeowner in Charles City, IA had moisture in his crawl space and was concerned that the air quality of his home was being compromised, so he contacted American Waterworks. After our Design Specialist thoroughly inspected the crawl space, he determined that the customer would benefit from having his crawl space encapsulated. The homeowner agreed and moved forward with the installation.
Our production team installed drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, Foamax walls and our spray foam rim joist insulation. These products work together to keep moisture, pests, and potential mold out. They also help make the space more energy-efficient. The project took less than a day, and the homeowner is confident his crawl space will remain a stable, healthier and more energy efficient space!

Karen R. in Pine Island, MN had a shifting foundation wall that needed some support. Karen was concerned about the structural integrity of her home and wanted a cost-effective solution with minimal disturbance. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to evaluate the situation and propose a unique solution for her home.
Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production crew installed 7 CarbonArmor straps along the foundation to reinforce the bowing wall. The CarbonArmor system utilizes epoxy and carbon fiber straps to strengthen and stabilize the foundation. Karen was impressed with the quick installation, and her peace of mind has been restored!
Phillip W. in Red Wing, MN contacted American Waterworks after being referred by another contractor. He had water leaking into his basement through his foundation, and he was concerned about the health implications and damage it could cause. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, to meet with him and propose a permanent solution for his home. Phillip was impressed with the products and design and moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production crew began the project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement to make a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system. Then, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump in the corner. They finished the project by filling back the gaps with rock, replacing the concrete, and cleaning up their work area. Phillip was pleased with the results and hasn’t had a drop of water in his basement since the installation!
Sheral A. from Clear Lake, IA contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our yard signs in her neighbor’s lawn. Water was leaking into her basement creating a damp and unhealthy space. She was concerned about the health implications and wanted a professional opinion. We sent our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, to meet with Sheral and inspect her home. Dylan recommended our waterproofing system and was also able to set Sheral up with a radon test while he was there. Unfortunately, the results came back high, but we assured her that our radon mitigation system can easily be installed alongside her waterproofing project with no need to contact another contractor.
Our production crew began the waterproofing project with installing our WaterGuard drainage system and our SuperSump sump pump. Next, they installed the Foamax Insulation Panels on the walls for energy bill savings and moisture protection. Then, our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, successfully installed the radon mitigation system by creating a suction point through the sump pit and running the piping up and out of the home. A fan is installed to ensure the radon gas is pushed up and away. Sheral was impressed with the installation, and her peace of mind has been restored!
Thomas M. from New Richland, MN had water seeping into his basement that was coming up through his floor. He had tried temporary ways to seal the water off, but those quick fixes never lasted, and he continued to have a wet basement each time it rained. After researching professional waterproofing contractors, Thomas decided to call American Waterworks to receive a free estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, went to his home to inspect his basement and design a solution. Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement and a TripleSafe sump pump that was connected to the drainage system. The TripleSafe is our most reliable pump because it has three pumps and it is protected with a battery backup. The WaterGuard properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Thomas is thrilled that his basement has been a dry, healthier space since having our system installed.
Jamie and Pat B. of Prior Lake, MN had water leaking into their unfinished basement, causing them to feel nervous living in their own home, so they went to their local home show to find contractors that could help them. They came across our booth and talked to our Design Specialist, Ryan Powell, about our waterproofing products. Jamie and Pat decided to have Ryan come out to their home for a FREE Estimate. After a thorough inspection, Jamie and Pat were comfortable with Ryan's proposal, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and their production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed 42 feet of our WaterGuard System, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls and act like an underground drain. Next, we applied 42 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System around the wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold and humidity and acts as an extra support system. To complete the project, Cory and his team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Jamie and Pat could not believe the installation only took a day. They had a remarkable experience from start to finish!

Our production crew got to work and removed the existing sump pump and installed our recommended TripleSafe with a battery backup system. Then, they replaced the concrete surrounding the sump pump. Our TripleSafe is backed by three layers of protection and is our most reliable sump pump. Kevin is glad he made the investment to protect his basement for the long-term.

Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production team began the crawl space waterproofing project by removing anything that was in the way. They installed 775 feet of our TerraBlock, which serves as a puncture-resistant insulation and provides the ultimate moisture protection. Next, Cory and his team applied 425 feet of our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier on top of the TerraBlock, which prevents mold and humidity, and it gives the space a clean and bright appearance. Paul and Lisa were both glad we were able to restore their peace of mind!

Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his crew installed 84 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system, 30 feet of feed line, and our SuperSump sump pump. Then, they replaced the concrete and cleaned up their work area. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. Nancy is pleased with the results and glad her basement is now a dry, healthy space.
