Roger R. in Hastings, MN was experiencing cracks in the concrete slabs of his garage and two corners of his garage had started sinking. He also noticed a stair step like crack on the outside of his garage foundation wall. He realized it was time to get a professional to inspect the situation and go over what his options were. One of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, went onsite to give Roger a free estimate. Mac discovered that his entire garage had started sinking and recommended that we install piers around the perimeter of his garage and wall anchors on the external side wall of the garage to secure the foundation. Roger knew how costly replacing the entire foundation could be, so he was glad to find a solution that would permanently repair the foundation.

Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his crew installed 15 piers underneath the foundation of the home and 4 wall anchors on the external wall to ensure that the foundation would be fully supported and permanently stabilized. Roger can rest easy knowing that he took necessary action to permanently stabilize and protect his foundation from failing.

We sent our Design Specialist to her home to evaluate the situation and propose a unique solution to fit her needs. She approved of the plan and moved forward with the installation date. 

Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and the production crew started the installation by removing concrete and laying 158 feet of the WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement. Then, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump and our Basement To Beautiful Insulated Wall Panels. Lastly, the crew installed our Battery Backup System to ensure lasting reliability and to keep the sump pump running efficiently and effectively. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is pushed through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Our waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime warranty, and Tammy is glad she made the investment to protect her home.

A customer from Hastings, MN, got in contact with us when she began to their basement was becoming drafty and cool, even in the winter months. Our customer was concerned that her home was steadily becoming energy inefficient. When she called in, we set her up with our FREE estimate, which entitled her to a thorough inspection into the issue by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist headed out to the property to take a deeper look at the problem. When he completed his walkthrough, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help remedy the issue. He explained to our customer that the water intrusion and draft could be attributed to her basement windows, as they were older and outdated. Our construction crew, led by Foreman Tremaine, ended up installing 3 of our EverLast window wells and SunHouse window well covers throughout the basement of the home. Once work was completed, the homeowner was happy to know that her drafty and energy-inefficient worries were in the past!

Driveway Cracks and Joints Repaired

A homeowner in Hastings, MN, went on the hunt for a professional to solve their concrete issues. Throughout their drives, several cracks and height differences were discovered by the homeowners. The homeowners asked their neighbors what companies they have used in the past and the same name kept getting brought up, American Waterworks. After hearing so many positive reviews, the homeowners decided to go to our website and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate details were ironed out, one of our Design Specialists, Nathan, traveled to the home to inspect the concrete. Following his in-depth inspection, Nathan found that the garage driveway was sinking, causing the majority of the driveway issues. Nathan came up with a solution that would solve all of the issues and proposed it to the homeowners. After considering all their options, the homeowners agreed and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew received the plans and began production. First, the crew installed the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, underneath the entire driveway and sidewalks. First, the crew strategically drilled small holes throughout the concrete. Then, injection ports are installed in the small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the concrete slabs were lifted, the crew moved on to fixing the several cracks and joints in the concrete. To fill in all the cracks and joints, the crew inserted the NexusPro Solution, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and stand up to harsh weather. First, the cracks are drilled, smoothed, and prepared with a non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, NexusPro Sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of sand, giving the concrete a finished appearance. The crew completed the repairs and cleaned up the job site.
