Knowing this was their best option, the homeowners agreed and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Sam, and his crew arrived at the home to start production. First, the crew inserted the PolyLevel underneath the sinking concrete. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once the job was complete, the crew cleaned up the job site and left the home. Our Design Specialist, Darin, traveled to the home to complete an in-depth evaluation of the walls and foundation. Following his evaluation, Darin determined the garage was beginning to settle. Darin recommended that the homeowners stabilize their foundation and walls, to which they agreed. Our Foreman, Juan, and his crew were assigned to complete the job. 

Upon arrival, Juan and the crew began by installing four PowerBraces along the southern wall. PowerBraces is a patented foundation wall repair system that is designed to stabilize failing foundation walls and has the potential to straighten them over time. The crew begins by cutting the steel I-beam wall braces to fit the walls. Then they secure the floor with joist hardware by attaching it near the mudsill at the top of the wall. Then the PowerBraces are fine-tuned into position and attached to the floor. The crew then shifted their focus to installing the SmartJacks near the middle of the west wall. The SmartJack system provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams, restoring stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in crawl spaces. Like PowerBraces, SmartJacks can be adjusted over time to provide additional straightening. After the walls and foundation were properly stabilized, the crew installed CleanSpace along the entire west and south garage walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is ideal for unfinished basement walls. The crew installs CleanSpace by drilling it in place with plastic fasteners. The crew completed the installation and stabilization successfully. The homeowner was pleased that their garage was no longer at risk for further damage.
