I bought an electronic Radon detection unit at the end of February and we were measuring between 7 and 18 pCi’s and anything over 4 is dangerous. So I did a little research and called American Waterworks and Michel Ramirez came out and gave an estimate and he was very professional. Today we had American Waterworks install our Radon mitigation system and 9 hours later we are down from 7.01 to 0.97 pCi’s. Wow!!! Thank you to Dakota and his partner for a great install experience that was neatly done.

Rick was awesome taking in the needs we had for the project and laying out the best and most economical way of making that happen for us. Jeromy and Hugo and the rest of the install team did a great job with the install. Everyone showed up on time and the project got done in no time. The SmartJack system we had put in looks very robust and easy to adjust for future raising. I'm sitting in a 130-year-old house with solid, level floors now and I couldn't be happier with the entire process.

Water-damaged Basement Saved in Altura, MN

A homeowner in Altura, MN was concerned about the state of his basement after the heavy rainfall. Sure enough, when checking the space, he found multiple small puddles of water and entry points from where the water had leaked into the rooms. Not wanting the problem to get worse or happen again during the next rainfall, he went online to find a solution. He searched "Minnesota basement waterproofing" and our American Waterworks website showed up. After looking into our products and services, he decided it was the best fit for his needs and signed up for a FREE no-obligation estimate. One of our expert Design Specialists, Nick Skillman, arrived at the home and answered any questions the homeowner had in addition to inspecting the basement. Nick decided that the basement should be waterproofed with our products in order to prevent future water leaking in the rooms. the homeowner agreed and the project plans were sent off for approval. Once approved, they were given to our Foreman, Arturo Mares, and his crew who went to the site to begin installations. They started by jackhammering channels around the perimeter of the basement rooms and filling them with drainage stone and placing the WaterGuard drain system on top. A new TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the necessary location, and the crew connected a feed line for the water to safely move from the drain to the pump. Finally, they poured and smoothed a layer of concrete on top of the WaterGuard and around the TripleSafe pump for extra protection and to keep out dirt and debris. The homeowner was grateful for our team's work and glad to have his basement space water-free again.

Severely Cracked Foundation Walls in Altura, MN

Rich A. in Altura, MN contacted us regarding his severely cracked garage walls. The garage was built on a hill and the soil was shifting, causing damage to the foundation of the garage. One of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, went to his home to provide him with a FREE, onsite inspection. Mac designed a solution to permanently repair the foundation of his garage by using wall anchors and power braces. Rich liked the proposal that Mac presented to him, so he decided to move forward and have our foundation repair system installed.

Our production team started the installation process by drilling small holes into the brick walls and inserting metal rods. Then, they secured the rods with anchors. Once the anchors were completely tightened, they could see a dramatic improvement in the stability of the walls. The walls had started to straighten and there were no longer cracks. Lastly, we sealed the walls with Silverglo and SentrySeal which ensure that water will not seep through the wall. Our foundation repair products are backed by a lifetime warranty, so Rich is confident that he chose the right solution to protect his garage for the long-term.
