A customer from Audubon, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice water entering his crawl space, creating musty odors and rotting wood. He was afraid that if left the condition untouched, it might compromise the structural integrity of the space. When he called our Appointment Center, we set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a thorough inspection of the issue. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to do a walkthrough. Once completed, Kole was able to make recommendations about how to fix the issue. He recommended the use of our CleanSpace vapor barrier. He explained that, along with our Drainage Matting, these two would work together to trap and drain the unwanted water from the space to the appropriate disposal site. The customer agreed and work began shortly after. 

Our Production crew, led by our Foreman, Arturo, ended up wrapping the crawl space in 463 sqft of CleanSpace, and installing 346 sqft of our drainage matting. They ended the job by sealing up any remaining cracks and holes with our spray foam, a hardening foam that works to block water intrusion. Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that unwanted water intrusion was a worry of the past!

Jeff M. of Audubon, MN met our team at one of our Home Show events. After learning a bit about what the American Waterworks team does, he realized that his crawlspace desperately needed our attention. Before we stepped in, Jeff's crawlspace was subjected to the elements, leading to an increase in moisture AND energy bills.

We sent out our Design Specialist, Kole, to provide a free estimate, diagnose the problem, and come up with a solution. After a careful inspection, Kole proposed our CleanSpace Vapor System. Jeff felt confident that all his questions were answered, so he went ahead and scheduled the installation date.

Our foreman, Aurturo, and his production team installed drainage matting as well as 463 square feet of our CleanSpace system to encapsulate the crawlspace. Our CleanSpace Vapor System is mechanically connected with plastic fasteners to walls so it never falls. It also prevents any humidity from invading the walls and gives the area and clean and bright appearance with a 25-year-warranty. Jeff was happy that his home was protected against things like rot, mold, and structural issues, and his peace of mind was restored.

A homeowner in Audubon, MN, knew it was time to have their cracked driveway lifted and leveled. Overwhelmed by all their options, the homeowner decided to utilize HomeAdvisor to filter their search. One of the first companies listed was us, the highly-rated American Waterworks. Impressed by our ratings, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate details were finalized, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Richie. As soon as he arrived, Richie began inspecting the driveway. Richie determined that the concrete was sinking, leading to unevenness and cracks throughout the concrete. Since he knew the cause of the issues, Richie recommended that the homeowners lift and level the concrete. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed and the project preparations were sent to the crew. Our crew arrived at the home and began by inserting the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, underneath the driveway and sidewalk. After the PolyLevel installation was complete, the crew shifted their focus to filling the various cracks throughout the driveway and replacing the old joints. The crew utilized the NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks made to provide long-lasting flexibility.  Once the cracks and joints were filled, the crew could clean up their site and move on to the next project. The homeowners were grateful for the excellent job completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to assist another customer.

Driveway Sinking in Audubon, MN

A homeowner in Audubon, MN, was coming home when they discovered their garage was higher than their driveway. Knowing this was not a do-it-yourself fix, the homeowner decided to reach out to have an expert inspect the concrete. The homeowner started their search by looking at HomeAdvisor, so they could filter through the best ranks. During their search, the homeowner noticed our high-rating and stellar reviews. Impressed, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate details were finalized, one of our Design Specialists, Richie, traveled to the home to perform the estimate. Following his detailed inspection, Richie found that the driveway was sinking into the ground, causing the height difference. To stop the sinking, Richie suggested that the driveway and sidewalk be lifted and leveled using the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. Additionally, Richie suggested that the cracks and joints be repaired throughout the driveway with the NexusPro Solution. The homeowner agreed with Richie's suggestions and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Once they received the plans, the crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Upon arrival, the crew started by preparing the driveway and sidewalk for the PolyLevel injection. Once the concrete was ready, the crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, they installed injection ports in the small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill the voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel was installed, the crew repaired the cracks and replaced the old joints. The crew installed the NexusPro Solution by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the crack with a non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro solution is inserted in the prepared cracks or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Musty Crawl Space Gets Encapsulated in Audubon, MN

He explained that the two products work well together as the CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp that gets installed directly to the walls of the space. He went on to say that it collects the water entering the space, and directs it downward. Then, the drainage matting provides a dimpled channel for the water to flow through, ensuring it disposes in the right area. Jeff agreed with the proposed solution and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Arturo, and his crew ended up installing 4,363 sqft of CleanSpace and another 346 ft of the drainage matting. When the job was finished, Jeff was thrilled to know he had a reliable solution for his water intrusion issue.
