Leaky Basement Fixed in Boyd, WI

A homeowner in Boyd, WI was concerned about her basement space after all of the heavy rainfall that had occurred. She decided to go downstairs and check the space out when she found just what she had been worried about. There was a small puddle of water that had formed at the base of one of the walls and noticeable signs of water damage on other parts of the floor and walls. She knew something should be done to address the issue now rather than later, so she went online to find a solution. She looked up "leaking basement repair near me" and found the American Waterworks website. The thing that impressed her and quickly influenced her to choose us was our FREE no-obligation estimates. She liked the idea of speaking with a professional prior to agreeing to any installations. We received her request and sent over one of our Design Specialists, Chuck Haldeman, to the home. Chuck was sure to answer any of the homeowner's questions and carried out his inspection of the basement. He decided that the best way to move forward was to waterproof the basement with WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a perimeter drain system that intercepts water at the perimeter of the basement and sends it away safely. The homeowner was eager to fix the problem, so she agreed to the project plans. One of our Foremen, Victor Salvador, and his crew went to the site and started the installations by jackhammering channels along the floor. They filled the channels with drainage stone, the WaterGuard system, and more clean stone on top. They also installed a feed line from the new drains to the sump pump as a way for the water to carefully move from one to the other. Finally, they poured concrete on top of the WaterGuard and smoothed it out for a clean final look. The homeowner was thrilled with the results and was thankful for our team's hard work to waterproof her basement.
