Sidewalk Safety Concerns in Carver, MN

A homeowner in Carver, MN, noticed their sidewalk was slowly lowering and many cracks were growing throughout. Instead of letting the issue worsen, the homeowners chose to find a professional to resolve the issue. After seeing the impressive work done by American Waterworks on our social media, the homeowner decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once their free estimate was set, we sent our Design Specialist, Kyle, to the home to inspect the status of the sidewalk. After his thorough inspection, Kyle discovered the concrete needed to be lifted and repaired. Kyle recommended a solution to the homeowners, to which they agreed. Soon after the approval, the solution was sent to our Foreman, Sam, and his crew. Sam and his crew arrived at the home and began repairs immediately. First, they focused on the sunken slab in the middle of the sidewalk. To lift the sidewalk, the crew used the PolyLevel. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that can restore the appearance and safety of your concert. The crew begins the installation by strategically drilling 5/8" holes throughout the specific slab. Then, injection ports are installed in these small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injections were complete, the crew moved on to filling the various cracks in the concrete. The crew utilized NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks that is created to provide long-lasting flexibility and stand up to harsh weather conditions. After all the cracks were properly filled with NexusPro, the crew then covered the entire concrete in SealantPro. With SealantPro, concrete is protected against water, oil, and gasoline.
