We have a lake cabin that was built in the 1960's. It had a dirt floor in the crawl space with bare, block, masonry foundation walls. It also had old, damp insulation that was falling down from the joist spaces. American Waterworks came in, removed the old insulation, laid down a 2-layer moisture barrier system and spray foamed the foundation walls and rim joist area. I can't believe what a difference this has made to our air quality and floors. We used to have to wipe down the windows every morning during the winter because of condensation. Not anymore! I would highly recommend this company if you have the same needs!

Total Crawl Space Transformation in Clear Lake, MN

A homeowner in Clear Lake, MN, noticed a foul smell around their home. After doing some investigating, the homeowner found that the scent was coming from their crawl space. Knowing they needed professional assistance; the homeowner began asking around their neighborhood for recommendations. The homeowner noticed the same name kept being brought up, American Waterworks. After looking into the services on our website and seeing it check off all their boxes, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. We sent Shane, one of our Design Specialists, to inspect the crawl space. Once Shane arrived, he greeted the homeowner and took a closer look at the crawl space. Shane determined that the crawl space was struggling and needed to be permanently stabilized. After Shane discovered the issue, he came up with a possible solution that would resolve the issue. The homeowner listened to Shane's proposal and knew it was the right direction to go. Once they received approval, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Raul, and his crew. When they arrived, Raul and the crew began by installing the Drainage Matting, a crawl space liner, on the cleaned crawl space floor. Once the liner was secured, the crew could mechanically attach CleanSpace to the floor and walls of the crawl space. Next, the crew measured, cut, and drilled eighteen PowerBraces, our wall repair system, to all four crawl space walls. On the outside of the home, the crew attached Foamax, a polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel. Finally, the crew put the TripleSafe, our most reliable sump pump system, in the corner of the crawl space to ensure the most protection. After all the required products were installed, the crew went ahead and cleaned up their materials. The homeowners were beyond thankful for the excellent job completed by the crew. It also cures within 60 minutes, is not affected by severe temperatures, and it prevents any drying, cracking, or bubbling.
