Terrie B. of Deerwood, MN had water leaking from her basement walls into her basement, causing water moisture problems and flooding hazards. Our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went to her home for a FREE Estimate to carefully inspect the problem and come up with a solution that worked for her and her budget. She was confident in Shane's proposal of our WaterGuard Drainage System and our TripleSafe Sump Pump, so she signed the contract, wrote out a deposit check, and got an installation date on the schedule. 

Our Foreman, Jeromy Anderson, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, which serves as an underground drain, prevents water clogs, and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which provides three levels of protection and solves all three water problems in one system. To complete the project, Jeromy and his crew covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. Terrie was happy with the work that was done and had a great experience from the appointment to installation!

A homeowner in Deerwood, MN, recently read an article discussing the dangers of radon. Concerned their home was at risk, the homeowner began looking into "radon testing and mitigation near me". After comparing several companies, the homeowner's attention was caught by our five-star rated radon mitigation systems. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist. Once the Design Specialist arrived, they introduced themselves to the homeowner and began with a radon test.  While the radon test was completed, the Design Specialist began looking for the best place to install the Radon Mitigation System. Once he completed the inspection, the test was completed and the results showed the levels were above the recommended level, 4pCi/l. The Design Specialist shared his findings with the homeowner and recommended installing a Radon Mitigation System in the home. The homeowner knew this was their best plan of action, so they decided to go ahead with the Design Specialists recommendations. After receiving the homeowner's stamp of approval, the Design Specialist passed the proposal along to our Logsitics team to build and schedule the project. Our Logistics team gave the final stamp of approval, then the project was scheduled for the following month. Once the project date arrived, our Radon Sales & Service Technician, Jackson, traveled to the home to install the radon mitigation system. Each of our Radon Mitigation Systems is designed differently, depending on the structure of the home. The forces need to be redirected from the "stack effect". Then, the radon gas is redirected and vented away from your home. Next, the radon entry points are sealed and the final system checklist is performed. Once Jackson secured the Radon Mitigation System, he cleaned up his materials and left the home. Failing Foundation Fixed in Deerwood, MN

A homeowner from Deerwood, MN, was in the process of remodeling his basement when he ripped out a chunk of drywall and noticed large stair-step cracks running down the wall. Ian began by saying that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from above, not from the side. So when the pressure on the side of the wall exceeds what it can withstand, the wall will begin to fail, leading to cracking, bowing, tilting inward the top, and/or sliding in at the bottom. Ian went on to say that some of the walls had deteriorated faster than others, meaning they would need the help of our GeoLock wall anchors. This innovative wall system counteracts wall failure by anchoring the failing wall to the hard-packed, undisturbed soil beyond the foundation of the home. Thanks to threaded roads that extend through the wall, the anchors can even be used to straighten walls in many cases. For the walls that weren't as deteriorated, Ian recommended our CarbonArmor wall reinforcing system. This unique system utilizes epoxy and carbon fiber strips to strengthen the stabilized bowing or cracked foundation walls. While this method does not restore a bowed wall to its original state, it will halt further movement and cracks. The homeowner was grateful for Ian's transparency about which walls needed more attention. He signed for the project and the two worked to find a day for the product installation. 

About a month later, our Foreman, Franklin O, and his team were in the basement getting ready to install the systems. When they had finished, they had installed 19 CarbonArmor strips and 4 GeoLock anchors. Now, our customer can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing his remodel can continue with stable walls!
