The WaterGuard is an award-winning, patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. As soon as the preparations were complete, the crew dug and placed the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Additionally, the crew dug a feed line from the sump pump to tie it into the new WaterGuard system. The crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was safe and properly waterproofed. American Waterworks is happy to assist another homeowner.

Next, they laid drainage stone in the channels, followed by the WaterGuard system and more clean stone. They connected the drains to the current pump system with a feed line for the water to pass through and once everything was in place, covered it with a fresh layer of concrete. The crew smoothed the area out for a clean finish to the project. The homeowner was excited with the results and happy to have the problem gone.

Leaking Walls Dried in Dodge Center, MN

A homeowner in Dodge Center, MN, wanted to have their basement inspected after discovering wet spots throughout the floor. After a heavy storm, the damp spot worsened and worried the homeowner. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on the stone and covered with cement. Additionally, the crew dug a feedline across the cement. This feedline will tie the existing sump pump into the new WaterGuard system. Once all the products were properly installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home.
