Robert, a homeowner in Emerado, ND, scheduled an appointment with our team after noticing his front sidewalk concrete was sinking. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would run the risk of the water damaging his concrete, and excess water finding its way down to his foundation due to the runoff. We set him up with our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, James, headed out to the property to assess the issue and see what could be done to fix it.

After his inspection, James recommended the use of our PolyLevel injection. PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam meant to be injected below the slab, filling any voids caused by erosion while raising and stabilizing the concrete. Our customer agreed, and work began shortly after. Foreman Charlie and his crew began the project by introducing themselves to Robert and ensuring his questions were answered. After a complete introduction, our team got to work. The first thing our crew did was drill small, 5/8" holes throughout the slab. Next, our crew installed injection ports over the holes to guide the PolyLevel underneath the concrete. Then, our team injected the PolyLevel through the holes to get underneath the slab and fill the voids to raise and level the slab surface. Next, the team used NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, so it won't crack, bubble, or dry out. That means a single application can seal the joints and cracks in your concrete driveway, patio, or sidewalk for years to come, protecting it from damage caused by soil compaction and washout. To complete the installation, our crew provided the resident with a thorough walkthrough of what they did and ensured the resident's expectations were met.

Your concrete won't improve with time, but it will improve with us. We provide FREE, no-obligation estimates! Give us a call today to schedule yours now.

A homeowner in Emerado, ND, was mowing their lawn when they noticed a gap between their driveway and garage. Wanting to resolve the issue before winter, the homeowners signed up for American Waterworks' FREE estimate to see if the driveway could be lifted. Our Design Specialist, James, went out to inspect the area.  After the inspection, James determined the whole driveway would need to be lifted.  The homeowners agreed and the crew began construction. Our foreman, Charlie, and the crew started by placing the PolyLevel under all the driveway slabs in front of the home. To prevent water runoff, American Waterworks will attempt to slope the concrete away from home. Following the installation of the PolyLevel, the crew used NexusPro on the main joint between the concrete and the home. The crew successfully raised the driveway in front of the home. American Waterworks is glad to help another happy customer!

A local church in Emerado, ND, was completing annual inspections when they discovered their foundation was struggling. Worried this could cause major, long-term damage, the homeowner searched for professional assistance. During their search, the homeowner came across the best foundation repair company in North Dakota, American Waterworks. The homeowner took a closer look at the projects we have serviced and knew we were the company for their job. After signing up for their FREE estimate, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Ian, to complete the project. Ian arrived at the church and began his detailed inspection. Once he completed the inspection, Ian found several issues regarding the foundation and crawl space. Ian recommended permanently stabilizing the foundation and fully encapsulating the crawl space. Knowing these fixes were necessary, the church agreed with Ians' suggestions. Once they were approved by the office, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew. After they received the stamp of approval, the crew traveled to the home and began the project. Kingsley and his crew started by cleaning out all the debris from the crawl space. Once the debris was cleared, the crew installed 36 SmartJacks throughout the crawl space. Next, the crew put seven GeoLock Wall Anchors into place. The crew shifted their focus to encapsulating the crawl space. First, the crew began by installing Draintile around the perimeter and interior foundation. Then, the crew installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump in the western corner of the crawl space. Next, the crew placed Drainage Matting on the floor and installed CleanSpace over top. Additionally, CleanSpace was installed on several columns and obstructions throughout the crawl space. Once the CleanSpace was installed, the crew installed Foamax on the perimeter walls and over the openings in the foundation. The crew successfully installed all the products throughout the crawl space, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The church was relieved to know their foundation was permanently stabilized and the crawl space was properly encapsulated. American Waterworks is happy to provide its customers peace of mind.

Job Stories From Emerado, ND
Weaken Foundation Saved by SmartJacks in Emerado, ND

A local church in Emerado, ND, knew they were suffering from structural issues in their home. Concerned it could cause serious, long-term damage, the homeowner began looking into the expert foundation and structural repair companies near them. Since they were a few hours from Fargo, the church searched for companies based there. After looking at the Better Business Bureau, they noticed American Wateworks' 5-star reviews and ratings. The church decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was finalized, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Ian, to the home to begin the inspection. Ian arrived and he began inspecting the status of the foundation and crawl space. Following his inspection, Ian confirmed the home was suffering from structural issues and required repairing. Ian drafted up a solution for the church and they agreed. Then, the plans were sent to the office for final approval. The office finalized the plans, and then they were directed to our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew. Kingsley and his crew started the project by clearing out the debris from the crawl space. After the debris was cleared, the crew installed SmartJacks throughout the crawl space. SmartJacks is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. Additionally, SmartJacks are made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Next, the crew installs GeoLock Wall Anchors, our innovative wall anchoring system, along the west wall. The crew installs the GeoLocks by digging a section of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. Along with the GeoLock installation, the homeowner asked that the tightening kit be included as well. This will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. Next, the crew installed the TripleSafe, one of our most reliable sump pumps in the western corner of the basement. Following the TripleSafe installation, the crew laid Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Drainage Matting creates a channel for water to flow to the perimeter drain or sump pump. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace along the floor, walls, and any other obstructions. CleanSpace is a heavy thick liner that acts as a vapor barrier for your crawl space. The mechanically attaches CleanSpace to the unfinished crawl space floors and walls. Finally, the crew installed Foamax on the interior and exterior foundation. Foamax is designed to control the temperatures of the walls of your crawl space and lower heating costs. Once the entire installation was complete, the homeowner cleaned up their materials and left the home. The church was relieved to know their crawl space was properly repaired. Homeowners Concerned with Sunken Driveway in Emerado, ND

The homeowners wanted to solve the problem before it worsened, so they reached out to American Waterworks. First, the homeowners signed up for a FREE estimate with Design Specialist, James.
