After he concluded the inspection, Ian determined the south basement wall was suffering the most. To prevent this issue from continuing, Ian recommended installing waterproofing products along the wall. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew secured WaterGuard along the basement wall. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Next, the crew shifted to the crawl space to install the SmartSump in the corner. A customer from Epping, ND was facing issues with a musty odor originating from his crawl space beneath his home.
