He explained things well, walked us through the process, allowed us time to process, and was available via text when we had questions about the prepwork. He was very personable and knowledgeable. The installation crew, led by Juan, was excellent! All the guys were friendly, worked diligently, answered questions, and were very respectful about protecting our home from dust etc. The cleanup was great! Fairmont, MN, Basement Floods

A homeowner in Fairmont, MN, was shocked to discover standing water in their basement. Instead of letting the problem worsen, the homeowner acted immediately and looked basement waterproofing company to help them. The homeowner began investigating waterproofing companies in their area and one of the first companies to show up was us, American Waterworks. Knowing we respond fast, the homeowners called our Appointment Center and made their FREE estimate for the closest date. Once the appointment was made, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Dylan, one of our Design Specialists. Upon arrival, Dylan determined that the home was flooding due to poor grading. Since Dylan knew the cause, he recommended that the homeowner fully waterproof the basement. Not wanting this issue to happen again, the homeowner agreed and production commenced. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. When they arrived the crew began by installing the WaterGuard around the entire perimeter of the basement. The crew begins by digging a small trench around the perimeter of the basement. Then, a drainage stone is placed in the trench and the WaterGuard is placed on top. Once the WaterGuard is secured into place, the crew covers it with cement and smooths it out to give a uniform finish. Additionally, a feedline was dug across the floor to ensure full protection. The crew removed the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. On the outside of the home, an IceGuard was installed on the discharge line. The IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting that is installed on the outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation in case the sump pump discharge line freezes or gets clogged. Finally, the crew installs CleanSpace on all the basement walls. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to your basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners, so it doesn't fall off. The crew completed the waterproofing installation and cleaned up their job site. The homeowners were given peace of mind knowing their basement no longer ran the risk of flooding.
