I have a cement slab crawl space but the house sits on wet soil and there is alot of shifting during the season. Our neighborhood has had a problem with garter snakes the past two years gaining entrance into our living spaces. They are under the cement slab and manage to get into the crawl space between the cement slab and walls of the crawl space. I Store many items in this space so this was a problem. After battling this for two years with two wildlife eviction services, I chose to have American Waterworks encase the crawl space. It is wonderful! The men were here on time, were very tidy, professional, and got the job done in a very timely manner. I now have an attractive, bright, clean crawl space where I can store my belongings with no fear of running into any more garter snakes. An added plus is that there is no more moisture that can get in the crawl space either. My peace of mind is well worth the expense.

We had American Waterworks fix our crawl space this past winter. We live on a lake and after the wet fall we had 7 inches of standing water down there. They raised the sagging floor with several jacks, put in a drain tile system, encapsulated the crawl space, installed a sump pump, and a dehumidifier. The crew was awesome having to do all that work in our 3’ crawl space. After the snow this winter, that sump pump ran a lot this Spring and we couldn’t be more pleased with the job they did. Very professional. Worth every penny.

Front Porch Stairs Get a Lift in Forest Lake, MN

A customer from Forest Lake, MN, gave us a call when he began to notice that his front porch steps were beginning to sink into the soil beneath the home. When he called in, we set him up with our FREE estimate, and our Design Specialist, Brian, headed out to the property to do a thorough inspection of the issue and make recommendations about how we could best help him. Brian recommended our Lift and Level option for this project. The customer agreed and work began shortly after. Our Foreman, Jose, and his crew began by strategically drilling holes into the stairs of the property, and then injected our PolyLevel foam into the holes and monitored the lifting process. Our PolyLevel solution is an expanding polyurethane foam that, when injected below a concrete slab, fills the gaps caused by soil erosion and is used to raise and stabilize concrete surfaces. Along with this solution, the crew installed two of our Helical Piers under the stoops to provide extra straightening and stability. Our helical piers are the best solution for lifting lighter loads and the installation is fast, effective, and have a great deal of versatility for stabilizing and restoring foundations and masonry elements alike. When the job was completed our customer was satisfied with the work we had done and was happy to know he didn't have to worry about his steps sinking any further.

Wet Basement in Forest Lake, MN

Stephen W. in Forest Lake, MN had water seeping into his basement and he did not have a sufficient sump pump to discharge the water from the home. He decided to contact us for a free estimate and see how we could help. We sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect the situation and to develop a solution. Our Design Specialist determined that the best way to ensure that Stephen would never have to worry about a wet basement would be to install WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and a SuperSump sump pump to properly expel the water to the outside. Stephen agreed that this was the right plan for his basement, so we sent a crew there to install our system.

Our crew removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laid the WaterGuard drainage system which led to the new sump pump that they installed. Then, they installed the discharge line from the sump pump to outside of the home, which is where the water drains to. The installation took a couple of days, but Steven will reap the benefits of this system for a lifetime. Since the installation, he has had a dry, clean basement. Our waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime warranty, so Stephen can rest easy knowing he invested in permanently protecting his home from water seeping into his home and causing damage.
