A homeowner in Hatton, ND, worried that the sidewalk in front of their home was becoming a major tripping hazard. Hoping to avoid total concrete replacement, the homeowner knew they needed to find a concrete leveling company near them. One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner took a closer look at our services. Impressed with our previous projects, the homeowner knew that we were the ideal company for their project. The homeowner contacted our Appointment Center to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Speicalist. The Design Specialist promptly arrived and began the thorough inspection of the exterior concrete. Once they completed the inspection, the Design Specialist confirmed the sidewalk needed to be lifted back to its original level. After sharing the findings with the homeowner, they agreed with the Design Specialists' recommendations. Next, the Design Specialist worked with the homeowner to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman traveled to the home to begin. First, the Foreman began by installing PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. Miaoqian L. of Hatton, ND had water leaking through the bottom cracks of their basement, causing them to feel nervous living in their own home. They did some research and came across our basement waterproofing repair products. Our office staff got in contact with them and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to their house to inspect the cracks and come up with a solution. Miaoqian was comfortable with the proposal and got all of their questions answered, so they went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Brian Colliton, and his team began the installation by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement floor, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement wall cracks, prevent water clogs, and serve as an underground drain leading to the outside of the home. To complete the installation, Brian and his crew covered the open gaps with rock and applied new concrete over the rock and WaterGuard.
