Bowing Walls Stabilized with Wall Anchors in Lime Springs, IA

Joe from Lime Springs, IA contacted American Waterworks when he discovered that his foundation walls in his basement had cracked and started bowing inward. One of our Design Specialists went onsite to inspect his foundation and provide him with a free estimate. Our Specialist recommended that we install wall anchors in Joe’s basement to provide permanently stability to his foundation. Joe was pleased with this solution, so he chose to move forward with the installation.

Our production crew started installing the wall anchors by drilling small holes through the block foundation. Then, they inserted long, metal rods through the foundation and into the soil surrounding the home. Next, they secured both ends of the rods by screwing on anchor plates and tightening them as far as they would go. Not only did this process help to straighten Joe’s walls but it provides permanent stability for the foundation. Joe is glad he chose to invest in the long-term protection of his home!

Waterproofing Products Sustain Basement in Elma, IA

LuRae M. of Elma, IA had water leaking in corner of their basement and needed help as soon as possible. They called American Waterworks to set up a Free Estimate. We sent out one of our Design Specialists, Matt Ryan, to go to their home to diagnose the issue and come up with a solution. After a clear and detailed inspection, LuRae was comfortable with the proposal so they scheduled the installation date.

Our foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production team began the installation by cutting out the concrete perimeter of the basement to form a trench. Next, they installed our CleanSpace Wall System around the wall perimeter to prevent further leaks, mold, or humidity from invading the room. Furthermore, in the corner of the basement, our crew installed our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, which is designed to keep basements dry and clean for extended periods of time, with the discharge line ending outside of their home.

Next, our production team installed our WaterGuard System in the formed trench, which serves as an underground drain, prevents any further water clogs, and catches water waste from below the CleanSpace. From the WaterGuard, contaminated water flows to the sump pump, and gets pumped out of the home. To complete the project, Austin and his crew filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. LuRae was very satisfied with the outcome, the American Waterworks team, and our waterproofing products!

Next, Hugo and his team installed our SuperSump Sump Pump System to the discharge line, which is made to keep basements dry for long periods of time. To complete the project, our team covered the leftover open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
