Bowing Foundation Wall in La Crescent, MN

Bowing Foundation Wall in La Crescent, MN

Before After
Bowing Foundation Wall in La Crescent, MN Bowing Foundation Wall in La Crescent, MN

Larry M. in La Crescent, MN had a bowing foundation wall in his basement. He was concerned that his wall was no longer stable and that it was putting pressure on the foundation of the home. He knew how expensive it can be to replace and entire foundation, so he decided he needed to have a professional take a look and see what his options were. One of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, went onsite to give him a free estimate. Rick recommended installing 5 Geo-Lock wall anchors on Larry's bowing foundation wall.

Larry was pleased to discover that our wall anchors are backed by a lifetime warranty, which made him comfortable having them installed. Larry could already see the difference in stability of that wall once the anchors were tightened. Larry now has peace of mind knowing his wall has been permanently been secured and stabilized.

High Radon Gas Levels in La Crescent

According to the World Health Organization, radon causes 15% of the world's lung cancer cases and kills 20,000 people each year. David B. in La Crescent, MN learned about the dangers of radon, so he chose to have his home tested by American Waterworks. The test results showed a radon level of 5.5 pCi/L. The EPA recommends that homeowners take action when radon levels are at 4pCi/L or higher, so American Waterworks took the time to walk David through the radon mitigation installation process and answer any of his questions. David did not want to compromise his family's health any longer, so he chose to have our radon mitigation system installed.

Our crew drilled a hole through the floor in the basement to insert a PVC pipe and create a suction point for the radon gas. Then the gas is vented through the pipe and out of the home. A fan is also installed at the top of the PVC pipe where the gas is vented out to ensure that the gas is pushed away from the home. After the radon mitigation system was installed, we tested his radon levels again and the results came back as 0.9pCi/L. David now has peace of mind knowing that he took the necessary steps to protect his family from this dangerous gas.

Hello, The address I provided is where I am staying right now but the project is for a different house that I will be purchasing in the upcoming month. The garage is 40x40 laying on a free floating concrete slab. After the 2007 flood in the midwest, the garage sank on the back side. After several mud jacking fixes, the garage is back down to 6 inches on the left and 3 inches on the right. The concrete slab has cracked a straight line 10 feet from the back of the garage. The garage was built in 1996. Now, this project is not our first priority since the property is a bit of a "fixer-upper". But, getting a quote or at least going through different options (seeing as mud jacking has not worked) to fix this problem would be helpful. You may use my email address to respond with your thoughts. Thanks
