One of our homeowners from Hugo, MN, knew it was about time to sign up for their annual maintenance appointment. Not wanting to push it off any further, the homeowner reached out to our Appointment Center and signed up for their annual maintenance appointment. We sent one of our Service Technicians, Edgar, to perform the annual maintenance appointment. During his appointment, he found that all the products we installed were working correctly. However, Edgar noticed the homeowner's sidewalk was beginning to sink and some joints were flaking. Edgar let the homeowners know and suggested that the sidewalk be lifted and leveled. Knowing the great work we did in the past, the homeowner quickly agreed. The plans were sent to the assigned crew and production commenced. Our Foreman, Troy, and his crew arrived at the home and began by installing the PolyLevel underneath the sidewalk. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once the NexusPro installation was complete, the crew cleaned up their site and left the home. The homeowners were pleased with the job well done by the crew. Our production team began the installation process by digging down to the foundation of the home. They installed 4 helical piers under the foundation of the basement, which transfers the weight of the home from the unstable soil, to the pier. They also installed 3 piers under the newly added deck which had recently started to sink. David’s home was starting to sink because the soil it was built on was not supportive enough, but his foundation is now permanently supported because of the installation of our piers. Our piers are guaranteed for a lifetime, so David will never again have to worry about his foundation failing.
