During the inspection, Ian discovered that the water was sneaking in on the west wall. To prevent the issues from worsening, Ian recommended waterproofing along the west wall. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed with Ian's recommendations. Next, Ian sent the proposal to our Logisitcs team to build and finalize the project. Our Logistics team gave the final stamp of approval, and then they assigned the project to our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew. A few months later, Franklin and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Once they arrived, Franklin and his team began by installing WaterGuard along the west wall. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the SuperSump+ to the new WaterGuard. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. An IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting that allows water to escape if the sump pump discharge line freezes or becomes blocked. Our Foreman, Baltazar Topia, and his production team began the installation by breaking out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement to form a trench. In the trench, our team installed 118 feet of our WaterGuard System, made to collect water seepage from basement walls and prevent water clogs. Next, our crew installed our SuperSump Sump Pump System, designed to keep basements dry for long periods of time. To complete the project, Baltazar and his team covered the remaining open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
