My parent's had a block foundation put in for a garage in 1952. They never built the garage. The top row of block has been exposed and walked on and half of the concrete blocks are now loose. How do I find out if the in ground majority of the foundation is safe and how to repair the top row of block? The ground is stable. No major problems otherwise.

Do you only do inside work? I have a crack in my foundation (and neighbor's land that slopes down to my house) that is causing water to leak through. The water is coming up thru my basement floor in a closet. I am NOT looking for the most expensive options (drain tiles, etc). Thanks.

I have a home on a hill, near natural springs and I have clay soil. Both the East and West sides of the home has been sinking. There is a noticeable downslope in the concrete floor on the West side. The center seems pretty solid. The owner before me had the house lifted off the foundation and the upstairs is pretty level yet. I've been in this home 4 years and I havn't seen much movement myself, however, every once and a while you hear a crack meaning the house moved.

The crawlspace is about 360 sqft and about 3 feet tall. I have a small gap from the basement that I can see it and there appears to be moisture on some boards in there. I would like to get rid of the smell, clean up the crawlspace, moisture proof it and insulate it (it is currently conditioned and unventilated, but I don't think it breathes well with the house). Another problem is that there is no access. Do you create crawlspace access? I want to widen the gap in the concrete block foundation from within my utility room. The access to the crawlspace would be a little bigger than 2'x 2'.

WE have a full basement with a crawl space under an addition. There seems to be a significant fracture and shift in the foundation in the crawlspace area.
