Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is made to prevent water or mud clogs, collect water seepage from basement walls, and serve as a drain that connects to the sump pump. Next, our team installed and tightened our PowerBraces against the foundation walls, which are made to straighten bowing walls over time. To complete the project, our Foreman and his crew covered the open gaps with rock and applied new concrete over it. Minot, North Dakota's Basement Waterproofing Experts

A wet basement is more than just an inconvenience—it can be a sign of water intrusion that puts your home at risk. Basement leaks, water seepage, damp walls, and excess moisture can damage finished spaces, create musty odors, encourage mold growth, and even contribute to foundation problems over time. That's why it's important to address basement water issues before they become more expensive repairs.

At American Waterworks, we design customized basement waterproofing solutions for homeowners throughout Minot ND. North Dakota's long winters, spring snowmelt, and freeze-thaw cycles can increase hydrostatic pressure around your foundation, allowing water to find its way inside. Our team identifies the source of the problem and recommends the right combination of basement drainage systems, high-performance sump pumps, energy-efficient dehumidifiers, vapor barriers, and wall protection systems to help keep your basement dry year-round.

We also provide crawl space encapsulation and moisture control solutions to help prevent mold, wood rot, poor indoor air quality, and structural damage. Water Damaged Basement Repaired in Jamestown, ND

A homeowner in Jamestown, ND, discovered water stains in their basement. Unsure of the source, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a solution. The homeowner looked into "wet basement repair near," and one of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our waterproofing services, the homeowner knew that we were the ideal company to provide them with the best solution. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE, no obligation estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ian. A few days later, Ian promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection. During the inspection, Ian noted that the base of the walls was leaking water. To prevent this issue from worsening, Ian recommended securing several waterproofing products throughout the basement. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Ian to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Roel and his crew will start by securing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching it to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to securing CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. Finally, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. If you are worried about your basement flooding, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Buckling Foundation Wall Repair in Minot, ND

In Minot, ND, a homeowner noticed multiple cracks in their foundation walls. Concerned that the issue would persist, leading to further cracking and potential wall failure, the homeowner decided it was time to look for a reliable solution. They began by searching for "bowing wall repair" and found our website. After browsing our website and being impressed by our 5-star reviews and foundation repair before-and-after photos, the homeowner contacted our Appointment Center to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Ian S., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection of the foundation. During the inspection, Ian took a close look at the foundation walls, determining where the cracks were and which walls needed stabilizing. He explained to the homeowner that one of the most common causes of a bad foundation is hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure is pressure exerted by a liquid. When it rains, water pools around the foundation and moves through the soil, exerting tremendous pressure on it. When this pressure exceeds what the wall can withstand, it is common to see cracking, shearing, and bowing of the walls. To effectively fix this issue, Ian recommended installing our warrantied solution, PowerBrace. PowerBrace is made of steel I-beams that are installed against the foundation walls, halting further movement. Happy to see that the product can be installed indoors and comes with a warranty, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, one of our crews arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by taking precise measurements of the height of the foundation and cutting the braces so that they fit perfectly. Then, the top of the brace is attached to a floor joist at the top of the wall. A bracket is attached to the floor joist and contains a large-diameter bolt for adjusting and tightening after the installation. The crew then ensures the brace is completely vertical before attaching it to the floor. Our crew was able to successfully install 10 PowerBraces!

Minot, ND, Sinking Concrete Lifted

A homeowner in Minot, ND, noticed their sidewalk was suffering from settlement. Worried this was a sign of a larger issue, the homeowner knew they needed to find a professional to provide them with a proper solution. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner knew they needed a professional to provide them with a proper solution. The homeowner looked into "concrete leveling services near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ian. A few days later, Ian arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection. During the inspection, Ian found that several areas were suffering from settlement. To prevent the settlement from continuing, Ian recommended installing PolyLevel, a polyurthane foam injection solution, below the struggling sidewalk. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Ian to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Charlie and his crew started by inserting PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew.
