A homeowner in Monticello, MN, noticed their main level floors were starting to sag. Attempting to solve the issue on their own, the homeowner placed a wooden post in the middle room. Knowing this would not last long, the homeowner wanted to find a permanent fix. Not sure where to start, the homeowner started by looking through the best foundation repair company near their home. One of the first companies to populate was us, American Waterworks. After reviewing our reviews and references, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate details were finalized, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Ryan, one of our Design Specialists. After Ryan arrived, he began his analysis of the basement and wooden post. Ryan confirmed that the post needed to be replaced, so he suggested a SmartJack instead. The homeowner agreed, knowing this was the best option for their home. Once they received the go-ahead, our Foreman, Gustavo, and his crew made traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew removed the old wooden post. Then, the crew began the SmartJack installation. SmartJack is a high-capacity adjustable steel pier designed to stop settling and raise your floor to its prior position. The crew begins by filling the hole with tightly compacted crushed stone to support the pre-cast aluminum base. Then, the steel column is cut to the appropriate size to fit your home's needs.
