Cracked Foundation Wall in Oronoco, MN

Shannon G. in Oronoco, MN had a large crack in the foundation wall on the back of her garage. She knew that she would be taking a large risk if she chose to wait to repair her foundation, because it could fail at any time, and become a much larger expense. She started researching foundation repair companies when she saw an advertisement for American Waterworks. She decided to call us for a free estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to her home to inspect her foundation problem and find a solution. Rick talked her through her options and he developed a plan that was the most beneficial for her and her home. After meeting with Rick and getting her questions and concerns addressed, she felt that we were the best fit for her, so she scheduled a date for the installation.

Our crew installed 4 wall anchors from the outside of her garage into the soil underneath the concrete in the garage. They drilled long rods through the brick until they hit supportive soil. They removed the concrete in the garage where they would need to put on the plates for the anchors. They installed the plates on either end of the rod and tightened the anchors. Lastly, they replaced the concrete and cleaned up their work area. The anchors secure and stabilize the wall. They continue to straighten the walls and can be tightened over time as the wall gradually moves back into place. Our foundation repair systems are guaranteed for a lifetime, so Shannon can rest easy knowing she chose a permanent solution to protect the foundation of her home.

Our production team installed a full perimeter of WaterGuard in her basement and a partial perimeter in her garage. Next, they installed our TripleSafe sump pump, which has three layers of protection, so she doesn't have to worry about it failing. The WaterGuard drainage system properly guides water to the sump pump. From there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. Our top of the line waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime warranty, so Lynn now has peace of mind that her basement is permanently protected.
