Basement Saved from Water in Spring Valley, MN

A homeowner in Spring Valley, MN, was putting old decorations away when they discovered signs of water intrusion and stains in their basement. Wanting to solve the issue before more snow arrived, the homeowner began looking for the best waterproofing company near them. After asking a local Facebook group, the homeowner saw that multiple people suggest to work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate and waited for the arrival of Eric, one of our Design Specialists. Eric arrived at the home and he began his detailed inspection to find where the water was coming from. After taking a closer look, Eric determined the water was seeping from the walls. As soon as he found the cause, Eric could provide a solution for the homeowner. Eric suggested installing the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and replacing the sump pump. The homeowner agreed and production preparations commenced. Our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew were assigned to complete the job. When they arrived, they began by installing protective plastic on the homeowner's belongings. After hanging the plastic, the crew started installing the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. After the WaterGuard was installed, the crew mechanically attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a waterproof plastic vapor barrier ideal for basement walls. The crew successfully installed all the items, so they took down the protective plastic and left the home. Wet Basement Restored in Spring Valley, WI

Darlene D. in Spring Valley, WI had water seeping into her basement and her old sump pump was not able to keep up. She started looking for a waterproofing company and she came across American Waterworks in the phone book. She saw that we offer free estimates, so she gave us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to her home to inspect her basement and provide her with a solution. Darlene was pleased with the proposal that Chad developed, so she scheduled a date for the installation.

Our production team installed WaterGuard along the north perimeter of her basement and a feed line that leads under the concrete, to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump is our most reliable sump pump. Water seeping into the basement is now guided through the WaterGuard and feed line, to the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Our waterproofing system is protected by a lifetime warranty, so Darlene can rest easy knowing that her basement will remain dry!
