A Town Home association in Delano, MN had a situation where water was leaking into the basement of a tenant’s Town House. They reassured that tenant that they would resolve the situation as quickly as possible, so they contacted American Waterworks to waterproof the basement. When our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson, entered the basement to provide them with a free estimate, he discovered that their old sump pump had failed and that had caused the wet basement. Chad developed a thorough waterproofing plan that was the most beneficial for the townhome association as well as the tenant living there.
Our production team installed our Iron Oaker drainage system and a SuperSump sump pump. The drainage system properly guides water to the sump pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and out of the townhome. The installation process took two days, but since our waterproofing system is guaranteed for a lifetime, the townhome association can rest easy knowing they chose the right long-term solution.

Collin from Saint Michael, MN, got in contact with us when he came across our website and decided he wanted his home tested for Radon gas. Collin used his FREE estimate with us to have one of our Design Specialists out to his home to test the levels of radon within the home by leaving a Continuous Radon Monitor in the home for 48 hours. When the test returned, Collin was informed that the levels of Radon in his home were at 6 pCi/L. Our Design Specialists let him know that the National Radon Defense recommends taking action with any levels above 4 pCi/L, at which the Radon levels in a home are equivalent to that of 100 chest x-rays. Collin decided to take action immediately and have a Radon Mitigation System installed in the home.
Our Foreman, Geno, and his crew were next to stop at the property. After a careful assessment, they determined the best area for the mitigation system to be placed. This system is used to pull any Radon gas from the house and expel it upwards, out, and away from the property. Geno and his crew made sure that there were no more points of entry for the toxic gas by sealing them with a urethane caulking compound.
Now Collin can resume his day-to-day activities without fear that he and his loved ones are inhaling hazardous fumes.

The Design Specialist suggested that the concrete be lifted and leveled. Knowing this would be the best option the homeowner agreed. Our Design Specialist directed the plans to the assigned crew and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Sam, and his crew arrived at the home to begin the PolyLevel installation. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once the job was complete, Sam and his crew cleaned up their materials and left. A homeowner in Saint Michael, MN, noticed the crack in their basement wall was growing and becoming a hazard. Wanting to get ahead of the issue, the homeowner decided to look into foundation repair companies near them. Not sure where to begin, the homeowner looked on HomeAdvisor for the highest-rated foundation repair companies near them. One of the first companies to show up was us, American Waterworks. While on our website, the homeowner was impressed with all our services and decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was made, the homeowner waited for the arrival of Eric, one of our Design Specialists. Eric arrived at the home to begin the inspection of the basement. During his inspection, Eric found that the foundation wall was rapidly failing and needed to be permanently stabilized. Eric suggested that the walls be stabilized using GeoLock anchors, a system that permanently stabilizes your foundation wall and can straighten it over time. Knowing this was the best option for their home, the homeowner decided to follow Eric's recommendations. The plans were then sent to the assigned crew and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew were assigned to complete the job, and they traveled to the home. Soon after they arrived, the crew began installing five GeoLock anchors on the east foundation wall. The GeoLock Wall Anchor system permanently stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring your walls to the hard-packed untouched soil beyond your foundation. The crew installs the GeoLocks by digging a section of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. The crew cleaned up the site and left the home. The homeowners were grateful that their wall was no longer at risk of failure. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!
A homeowner in Annandale, MN was visiting his cabin and doing some cleaning to the area to prepare it for the upcoming summer months. He went to the concrete steps leading down to the lake and noticed how some of them had sunken quite a bit. This made it slightly difficult to walk up and down them, especially for some of his family members that would visit later in the summer. He decided that something should be done to eliminate the problem now and prevent any possible problems in the future. Online he looked up multiple kinds of concrete repair and replacement companies, but only one stood out to him: American Waterworks. He explained that PolyLevel works to stabilize and lift concrete back up with minimal disruption to the space. The homeowner agreed and the plans were sent off for approval. One of our Foremen, Dylon Mish, and his crew went to the site and began the project by drilling small holes throughout the steps. In Buffalo, MN a homeowner was alarmed to find some puddles of water in one of the rooms of his basement. His initial thought was that something was wrong with his old sump pump, but he wanted to get a professional's opinion to be sure. He went online to look for a waterproofing service in his area by searching "basement repair contractors." The homeowner sifted through the results, but only one company really stood out to him: American Waterworks. He signed up for one of our FREE no-obligation estimates and was later greeted by one of our Design Specialists, Dave Seawell. Dave informed the homeowner of his recommendation to install some of our quality products that would work to stop water from entering the basement room. The homeowner was excited to hear that something could be done, and he agreed to the installations. Our Foreman, Lane Schlobohm, went to the site with his crew, and they began the project by jackhammering channels along the perimeter of the basement. Then, they partly filled the channels with drainage stone, the WaterGuard drain system, and more clean stone. They also connected a feed line from the drains to the new TripleSafe sump pump that was installed for the water to safely travel from. Next, the crew fastened CleanSpace vapor barrier to the bottom half of the walls to direct water leaking from the walls to the drains below and to brighten up the room. To finish the project, the crew poured and smoothed a layer of concrete over the drains and around the pump for a clean and pleasing look to the space that the homeowner was very happy with.
