Dan B. of Wyoming, MN had a divet in his concrete that he wanted to have looked at and fixed, so he called American Waterworks to schedule a Free Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Reed Hudson, came out to inspect the concrete and came up with a solution. He proposed our PolyLevel and NexusPro to resolve the issue. After Dan got all of his questions answered, he went ahead with the project.

Our foreman, Trevor Ellingson, and his production crew started the installation by injecting PolyLevel underneath the crack of the concrete. PolyLevel is a type of foam that fills the concrete gaps and stabilizes the surface. It's a waterproof product that doesn't wash away, and after installation, you can walk, drive, bike, etc. on it within 15 minutes after injection. Next, they applied one layer of our NexusPro solution on the crack to seal it and complete the project. NexusPro provides long-term suppleness and prevents any additional cracking or spuming. Dan was glad he chose American Waterworks to improve and stabilize the surface of his concrete!

Job Stories From Wyoming, MN
Wyoming, MN, WaterGuard Installation

A homeowner in Wyoming, MN, found signs of water damage in the southern corner of their basement. With the snow melt and rain, the homeowner grew anxious over the possible flooding risks. Wanting to solve the issue before it could worsen, the homeowner decided to search for a professional to complete the task. Through their research, the homeowner came across our list of services and knew we would be the best bet. After signing up for their FREE estimate online, they prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Jesse. Right after he arrived, Jesse began the detailed estimation of possible damage. When he completed the estimate, Jesse proposed his recommended solution to the homeowner. After considering all their options, the homeowner agreed with Jesse's solution, and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Once they received the plans, the crew drove to the home. First, the crew focused on installing the WaterGuard, a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Next, the crew installed the TripleSafe Sump pump, our most reliable sump pump that provides three levels of protection, and the IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation. The crew shifted their focus to the basement walls by installing CleanSpace, a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier. CleanSpace is mechanically attached to basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Finally, the crew completed the project by lifting the sinking steps in front of the home with the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. The crew installs the PolyLevel by strategically drilling small holes in the slab of concrete.  Then, injection ports are installed in the holes and the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. The holes are then covered and sealed. The crew swiftly cleaned up the site and left the basement properly waterproofed. The homeowners were grateful for the hard work done by the crew. Concrete Driveway Gets a Lift in Wyoming, MN

Marta and Reginald, from Wyoming, MN, gave us a call when they began to notice their concrete driveway and patio were beginning to sink. When they called in, we set them up with our FREE estimate and one of our Design Specialists from our concrete and radon division went out to their property to assess the issue. When our Design Specialist had completed his thorough investigation, he recommended that the couple consider using our PolyLevel injection to lift and level the slabs of concrete. This solution is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill any gaps caused by soil erosion. It is used to raise and stabilize concrete surfaces. The two agreed and work began shortly after. Our Foreman and his crew made quick work of lifting and leveling the concrete back to its former glory. When they finished, they went over the newly raised concrete again with our NexusPro solution, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks. This solution is used to seal off any remaining cracks or joints in the concrete to protect it from any further damage.

When the job had been completed, Marta and Reginald were happy with the work we had done and were relieved that they no longer had to worry about trip hazards forming due to sinking concrete.

Wyoming, MN Home with Sagging Crawl Space

Darrin K. in Wyoming, MN noticed that the moisture in his crawl space was damaging the beams that were supporting the floor. The beams had started rotting, which caused the floor to sag. He knew the problem was only going to get worse, so he started looking at repair options. He chose to contact American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to his home to inspect his crawl space and design a solution.

Chad recommended having SmartJacks installed in the crawl space to support the beams. The SmartJack system provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams, restoring stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in a crawl space. Darrin was comfortable with this solution, so our production crew installed 6 SmartJacks and 32ft of supplemental beams. Our crawl space structural support jacks, called SmartJacks, are made of galvanized steel for corrosion resistance and can support loads of more than 60,000lbs! Our SmartJacks are the ONLY crawl space support jacks that address problem soils, so the SmartJacks provide a permanent solution for rotting, sagging floor beams. Darrin was pleased with the transformation and he is no longer concerned about the stability of his floors.
