High Radon Levels Mitigated in Minneapolis, MN
Challenge
In Minneapolis, MN, a homeowner learned that radon is a toxic gas that comes from the soil beneath the home and is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US. Concerned that their family was unknowingly breathing in the gas, they decided to test the radon levels of their home. After a couple of days, the test results were above 4pCi/L, the EPA's action levels for radon, the homeowner contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.
Solution
In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Justin M., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, Justin took a close look at the layout of the home to determine the best place to install our radon mitigation system. He recommended installing the PVC pipe into the flooring of the home and the fan at the exterior to expel the radon gas. The homeowner happily agreed to the recommendation and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Dakota M., arrived at the home for the installation. Once it was installed, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
