Nick M. in Dennison, MN had learned about the dangers of radon gas and decided that he needed to get his home tested. The test results showed a high level of radon. Our Design Specialist walked him through the radon mitigation installation process and answered his questions. Nick wanted to act quickly and moved forward with an installation date.
Our radon mitigation specialists drilled a hole through the concrete basement to create a suction point for the gas. Then, a PVC pipe is inserted which goes up through the house and exits the home through the roof. A fan is installed at the top of the PVC pipe to ensure that the radon gas is being pushed away from the home. The post mitigation test results showed that his home was now a much safer environment. The installation took only one day to complete, and Nick is glad he took action to protect his and his family’s health.

We received a request for a free estimate after this Blue Earth, MN homeowner noticed that his free-standing garage foundation was starting to shift and collapse. American Waterworks respected design specialist, Eric Hazelton, was able to craft a lasting solution using our Geo Lock Wall Anchor System. Four galvanized earth anchors were installed to straighten the foundation wall back to it's original position.
Mr. Conner's foundation walls are cracking and pushing inward due to the expansive soils and hydrostatic pressure on the walls from outside his home. We recommended installing eleven Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing wall to stabilize and restore the wall back to its original position. The soil anchors were placed in the ground outside his home. Steel rods attached to soil anchors extend through the foundation wall and wall plates. Wall plates distribute clamping pressure. Tightening nuts on the threaded ends of the rods stabilize the wall for a permanent solution.
