Schedule Annual Maintenance
A home with a wet basement becomes much more difficult to sell. In fact, a wet basement is one of the most serious "red flags" that deters buyers.
Our EverLast Basement Windows are designed to replace your rotting, outdated steel and wood-framed basement windows, our windows will never rot, rust, decay or need paint.
Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind.
Our insulated ZenWall panels provide insulation, waterproofing, and a finished appearance for basement walls.
ZenWall is compatible with the basement drainage system and other waterproofing products, and they can tuck easily into the drain below to direct water from the walls to the sump pump.
In addition to providing a safe exit, our egress windows allow more natural light and fresh air into the basement to make the space feel larger and more inviting.
A polycarbonate safety cover keeps leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight and fresh outside air to enter your basement.
SunHouse Window Well Enclosures are covered window wells -- the perfect thing to replace your corroded, debris-filled metal wells.
Radon is a naturally ocurring, odorless, and tasteless gas. Dangerous levels in a home can cause severe illness and even cancer. Learn more about this gas and the test we perform to see if there are dangerous levels in your home.
Chuck H. in La Crescent, MN contacted American Waterworks because he had some concerns about his home. He had been dealing with leaky windows and water seeping into his basement for years, and his radon test results had come back at dangerous levels. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Brian Ramirez, to meet with Chuck, evaluate the situation, and address his concerns. Brian assured Chuck that American Waterworks could easily resolve his home issues without the need to call multiple contractors. Chuck was thrilled with Brian’s inspection and presentation and moved forward with the project.
Our production team got to work and stabilized the foundation with the installation of our CarbonArmor straps to halt any further movement and cracks. Next, they began the Waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying 140 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system. They installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump in the corner and our ZenWall Insulated Basement Panels along the walls. They removed the basement windows and replaced them with 5 of our EverLast Basement Windows and SunHouse window wells, and 1 RockWell Egress Window System with a durable window well cover. The crew also installed our WellDuct System with each window to redirect any water to the perimeter WaterGuard drainage system. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, and from there, it is discharged from the home. Lastly, Chuck had our radon mitigation system installed. Our radon mitigation system is easily installed alongside our waterproofing system, and the post-installation test results showed that the system effectively brought the radon gas down to a safe level. Chuck was impressed with the entire process, and is glad he made the investment to protect his home and restore its value.
