Solution
In about a week, our Design Specialist, Romeo V., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection. During the inspection, Romeo explained to the homeowner that soil washout is one of the most common causes of sinking slabs. Soil washout is the process in which water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils that are keeping the slabs upright. That is why Romeo recommended PolyLevel and NexusPro. PolyLevel is our high-density polyurethane formula that stabilizes and lifts sinking concrete slabs. NexusPro is our silicone-based sealant that is designed to resist UV rays so it will not crack, bubble, or dry out, like traditional sealants. After looking over Romeo's design and proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and scheduled the installation date.
In about two months, our Foreman, Sam K., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling small holes into the concrete slabs. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the voids in the soil, lifting the slab. Once the slab has been lifted, the crew seals the holes. Lastly, they used NexusPro to seal the joints. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their workspace, equipment, and left the home.
