Sinking Slabs Lifted in Anoka, MN
Challenge
A homeowner in Anoka, MN, noticed that his garage apron had begun sinking, causing a bump every time he drives over the area. The homeowner knew that the issue would only worsen, so he began looking into concrete lifting contractors in Anoka, MN, and found us. After looking through our website and becoming impressed by our concrete before and after photos, the homeowner contacted us to schedule his FREE concrete estimate.
Solution
In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Kyle P., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection of the issues, answer any questions, and create a proposal with the best solution for the homeowner. During the inspection, Kyle explained to the homeowner that soil compaction is the likely reason why the slabs have begun sinking. When a soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, it causes the soil beneath the slabs to sink and settle. As this happens, the slabs would go down with it. To fix this issue, Kyle recommended using PolyLevel to lift the slabs back to their original positions and NexusPro to seal the joints and provide a seamless look. Knowing that PolyLevel is the best method for his concrete issues, the homeowner agreed to Kyle's recommendations and scheduled the installation dates.
In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived to install PolyLevel. They began by drilling small holes into the concrete slabs. Then, PolyLevel is injected beneath the slabs, compacting the soil before it lifts the slab. Once each of the slabs has been lifted to the desired height, the crew seals the holes. In a couple of days, our Foreman, Ryan T., and his crew arrived at the home to apply NexusPro. The crew applied it all along the joints. After they were done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
