Decorah, IA, Sunken Concrete Lifted
Challenge
A homeowner in Decorah, IA, worried that the uneven concrete in front of their home was going to become a tripping hazard. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a proper solution. After looking into "fixing concrete sidewalk", the homeowner's attention was caught by us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our previous projects, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeonwer prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Nathan.
Solution
A few days later, Nathan traveled to the home to begin the thorough inspection. During the inspection, Nathan saw that several areas were suffering from settlement. To prevent this issue from worsening, Nathan recommended lifting and leveling the concrete back to its original position. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Nathan to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Patrick, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Patrick and his crew started by inserting PolyLevel, a polyurthane foam injection solution, below the sinking slabs. Once the PolyLevel was installed, the crew shifted to filling the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!
