Challenge
A homeowner in Clear Lake, IA, noticed their driveway was sinking due to settlement. To prevent the settlement from continuing, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a solution. The homeowner looked into "concrete lifting near me", and one of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Tony.
Solution
A few weeks later, Tony traveled to the home to begin the thorough inspection of the sinking concrete. During the inspection, Tony determined that the concrete was suffering due to settlement. To prevent the settlement from continuing, Tony recommended lifting and leveling the sidewalk back to its original position. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Tony to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew started by securing PolyLevel, a polyurthane foam injection solution, below the sinking slabs. Once the PolyLevel was injected, the crew shifted to filling the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. Once the products were secured, the crew shifted to cleaning up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew.
