Concrete Walkway Lifted in Charles City, IA

In Charles City, IA, a homeowner was tired of her uneven and dangerous concrete walkway in the front of her home. She knew it was only a matter of time before a visitor would trip, fall, and hurt themselves, so she decided it was time to search for a solution. She wasn't aware of a sidewalk leveling service in her area, so she decided to turn to the internet. Solution
Several weeks later our Design Specialist, Michel Ramirez, was headed out to Charles City to see how we could assist. When he arrived, he got right to work assessing the slab, making sure to pay extra attention to the areas of concern noted by the homeowner. When he finished, he sat down with the homeowner to go over the next steps. Michel began by stating that concrete can sink for a variety of different reasons, such as extreme heat, times of heavy rain, and changing Midwest temperatures. Michel wanted to use our PolyLevel to lift the area of sunken concrete back to it's original position, and NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks. The homeowner agreed and the work was scheduled for a week or two later.
Our Foreman, Ryan Trogstad, and his crew were assigned the project. When they arrived, they began the process by drilling holes into the sunken slabs. Next, they pumped PolyLevel into the holes. As PolyLevel is injected below sunken slabs, it begins to expand, filling voids left by soil erosion and lifting the slab back to it's original position. Ryan was careful to monitor the process so no under or over corrections were made. When the concrete was back in it's original position, Ryan began to seal off the joints and cracks in the concrete with our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant is specially formulated to stand up against harsh weather and UV rays, providing the ultimate protection for freshly lifted slabs.
