High Radon Mitigated in Bruce, WI
Challenge
A homeowner in Bruce, WI, recently learned that his neighbor had gotten a radon mitigation system installed in their home by American Waterworks. Realizing the homeowner has never tested the radon levels of his home, he decided to purchase a radon testing kit. In a couple of days, the test results were above 4 pCi/L, which is the EPA's required action for radon. The homeowner then contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.
Solution
In about a week, our Design Specialist, Canon T., arrived at the home for the inspection and to answer questions the homeowner had. During the inspection, Canon analyzed the home to provide the best design where our radon mitigation system would be installed. The homeowner happily agreed to Canon's design and scheduled the installation date.
In about two months, our Foreman, Dakota M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by installing a PVC pipe into the footing of the home. This pipe then connects to the radon mitigation system that is installed in the attic of the garage. This is done this way so that our system can suction out the radon-rich air and spew it outdoors, before it can enter the home. Once they were done and ensured that everything was working properly, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
