High Radon Levels Mitigated in Rochester, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Rochester, MN, had recently learned of the health risks of radon. Concerned that their family was unknowingly breathing in the toxic fumes, the homeowner decided to purchase a radon testing kit to determine the radon levels in their home. After several days, the test results were above 4pCi/L, and the homeowner began looking into radon mitigation installers in the area and found us. Solution

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the layout of the home and worked closely with the homeowner on the best placement for our radon mitigation system. Brad recommended installing the fan in the attic so that it can remain hidden. The homeowner happily agreed to the placement and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Dakota M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by installing a PVC pipe into the footing of the home. Then, it is connected to the radon fan installed inside the attic to expel the radon gas through the roofline. After the successful installation, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
