Bowing Foundation Walls in Ramsey, MN

Bowing Foundation Walls in Ramsey, MN

Bowing Foundation Walls in Ramsey, MN Bowing Foundation Walls in Ramsey, MN

Jen S. in Ramsey, MN had a bowing foundation wall in her home and a sinking garage. She visited the American Waterworks booth at a local home show and learned about our foundation repair solutions.

One of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, explained our wall anchors and push piers, and how they can permanently stabilize her foundation. She was interested to see if we could solve her foundation problem, so she set an appointment with Shane for a FREE onsite estimate. After Shane inspected her foundation wall and garage, he determined that installing 11 wall anchors on one side of the home and installing 8 piers underneath the garage, would permanently repair and stabilize her foundation.

She agreed with the plan that Shane developed, so we set an installation date. Once our crew had installed and tightened the wall anchors, Jen was able to see the drastic improvement with the stability of the wall.

The push piers installed under the garage raised the garage and secured the foundation, so Jen will never again have to worry about her foundation settling and the damage that can cause to a home. Jen now has peace of mind because she chose to invest in protecting her most valuable asset.

Sam I. of Anoka, MN was on the hunt for Egress Windows. He found us on our website and contacted us through our online chat. Sam liked what he saw on our website, so he scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Russ. Russ went to Sam's house, inspected his basement window, and provided a quote going over our Egress Window. Sam was comfortable with Russ's approach and felt confident in the product, so he went ahead with the installation.

Our Foreman, Clay, and his crew excavated out the soil around the basement window, forming a big trench. Once the trench was formed, our crew broke out the wall to install the Egress Window. Our Egress Windows are made to add light and fresh air to the basement while providing a safe way to exit from the home. After that, our team installed our RockWell Window Well, which is a one-piece construction that allows for a safe exit out of the home in case of an emergency. To complete the project, our team backfilled the soil and ensured the yard was cleaner than when they first got there.

Wet Floors Waterproofed in Anoka, MN

A homeowner in Anoka, MN, noticed that water was pooling in the little cubby beneath her stairs and was concerned about the musty smell and mold growth. The homeowner knew she should not wait, as the issue would continue to worsen, so she began searching for basement waterproofing repairs in Anoka, MN, and found us. After looking over our website and becoming impressed by our stellar reviews and waterproofing before and after photos, the homeowner contacted us to schedule her FREE waterproofing estimate.

In less than a week, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to assess the space. During the inspection, he noticed that the area had water all over. It appeared that the water was coming from the joints between the footing and the wall due to the water stains. For this reason, our Design Specialist recommended WaterGuard, our superior drainage system that collects water from the perimeter of the basement and safely sends it to the sump pump. Unlike traditional drainage systems, WaterGuard is specifically designed not to clog with debris and sediment. After looking over our Design Specialist's proposal, the homeowner knew that it was the best solution for her basement water issues and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Francisco E., and his crew arrived at the home to install 22ft of WaterGuard. The crew began by drilling around the perimeter of the space. Clean rocks are then placed, and WaterGuard lies on top of them. Next, the WaterGuard is backfilled with rocks. After this has been done and WaterGuard is properly connected to the sump pump, the crew restores the floor with cement.

Now, our customer can have a safe and dry space! Have you noticed any water leaks? Click HERE to schedule your FREE basement waterproofing estimate today!

Sinking Concrete Garage Lifted in Anoka, MN

A homeowner in Anoka, MN, noticed that every time he drove into his garage, it was always bumpy. Annoyed by having to slam on his brakes all the time, the homeowner knew it was time to address the issue. The homeowner began searching for concrete repairs in Anoka, MN, where he found our website. After scrolling through our site and being impressed by our reviews and before-and-after photos, the homeowner contacted our Appointment Center to schedule his FREE concrete estimate.

In less than a week, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the problem areas. During the inspection, our Design Specialist explained to the homeowner that soil compaction is the likely reason why some of the concrete slabs in the garage had begun sinking. When the soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, it causes the soil to compact and settle beneath the concrete slabs. As this happens, the slabs would sink with it. For this reason, our Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel to lift the slabs back to their original position. PolyLevel is our advanced foam formula that, once injected, expands to compact the soil and lift the slab. After looking over the proposal our Design Specialist created, the homeowner happily agreed, as he did not want to go through the process of mudjacking or slab replacement. The installation date was then scheduled with our crew.

In about a month, our Field Supervisor, Brandon W., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling small holes along the slabs. Then, PolyLevel is injected beneath, filling in the voids in the soil and compacting it. Once the slabs have been lifted to the desired height, the crew seals the holes. After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Now, our customer can have a smooth garage! Have you noticed sinking concrete slabs on your home? Click HERE to schedule your FREE estimate today!

Best Home Sump Pump Installed in Anoka, MN

A homeowner in Anoka, MN, was clearing out their basement when discovered water damage throughout. Unsure of the cause, the homeowners knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a solution. The homeowner looked into "damp basement repair near me" and one of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks. Once they saw our five-star rating, the homeowner knew we were the ideal company for their project. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Jesse, to the home to take a closer look. Jesse arrived at the home and started his detailed inspection of the basement. During his inspection, Jesse confirmed the basement was suffering from water intrusion. Jesse recommended installing several waterproofing products throughout the basement. Knowing this was their best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Jesse's recommendations. Next, Jesse passed the plans to our Logistics team to give the final stamp of approval. Our Logistics team approved and scheduled the project for the following weeks. Once the project date arrived, our Foreman, Jesus, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Jesus and his crew started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the TripleSafe to the new WaterGuard. After all the products were secured, the homeowner cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was properly waterproofed. If you are suffering from a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Radon Gas Mitigated from Anoka, MN, Home

A homeowner from Anoka, MN, had been watching TV on night when she saw an ad for mitigating dangerous radon gas. She didn't know much about the dangers of radon but decided she should test her home regardless. She took to the internet to search for 'radon specialists near me' and quickly found our website. She signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, was headed out to the home.

When Kyle arrived, he began the process by placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. He explained to the homeowner that over the next 48 hours, the test would capture the radon levels in the home, delivering an average result after 48 hours. Kyle went on to say that radon gas is no joke. It's invisible, odorless, and tasteless, making it completely undetectable without the proper testing. Kyle stated that the Environmental Protection Agency strongly recommends mitigating a home if levels come back higher than 4 pCi/L. Kyle explained that should the test come back higher than the recommended 4 pCi/L, he would strongly urge the homeowner to consider a radon mitigation system. He elaborated, explaining that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced radon professional, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner was impressed with Kyle's diagnosis and explanation but decided to wait until the results came back. 48 hours later, Kyle headed back to the homeowner's property to read the results, which returned at 7 pCi/L. The homeowner and Kyle then worked together to find the best place for a radon mitigation system.

Several weeks later, our Foreman, Geno M, and his team arrived. The team was able to effortlessly place a radon mitigation system, successfully restoring our customer's peace of mind in the air circulating her home!

CarbonArmor and PowerBrace Install in Anoka, MN

A homeowner in Anoka, MN, noticed their wall was beginning to bow inward. Worried about the effect it could have long-term, the homeowner knew they needed to look into repair options. Unsure where to begin, the homeowner asked a local Facebook group if they had any recommendations. Many members recommended getting a FREE estimate from us, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialist, Rick, to the home. When Rick arrived, he began evaluating the foundation. Following his evaluation, Rick confirmed the foundation required permanent stabilization. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to go along with Rick's recommendations. Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew were assigned to complete the project. When they arrived, Luis and his crew began by installing four PowerBrace on the north foundation wall. PowerBraces is a patented foundation wall repair system that is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. Next, the PowerBraces are secured into the floor joist hardware and fine-tuned into the correct position. The, the PowerBraces are attached to the floor with a special, bolt-in-place bracket. Since the homeowners wished to include the straightening kit, they can tighten the brackets over time to gradually straighten the walls. After the PowerBraces, the crew shifted their focus to installing the CarbonArmor on the other half of the foundation wall. CarbonArmor is a wall reinforcing system that is a state-of-the-art solution used to fix cracked and bowing foundation walls. CarbonArmor strips utilize epoxy and carbon fiber strips to strengthen and stabilize foundation walls that are cracked or bowed. To install the CarbonArmor strips, the crew begins by cleaning the wall to ensure good adhesion. Then, the technician masks off each carbon fiber strip location and saturates the masonry with epoxy. The CarbonArmor reinforcement becomes part of the wall structure. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. If you are suffering from a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Apartment Complex Waterproofing in Anoka, MN

Rivertown Apartments in Anoka, MN contacted us when they realized they had water seeping into some of their units. This was concerning because they didn't want the apartments or any of the tenant's property to be damaged. They also wanted to make sure their tenants were living in a clean, healthy space. American Waterworks had worked with Rivertown Apartments before and they had a pleasant experience, so they trusted that we would do a good job installing our waterproofing system.
