Working with both the office and the field was especially easy. I had a difficult project due to the utilities coming into the house. Haley worked great with me through the issues we had with the locating service. Rene and Fredy were the gentlemen that came out to do the work. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. It is hard to find people like that these days! I will for sure recommend American Waterworks to anyone needing this type of service and will be the first company I call when I need similar work.

We have a lake cabin that was built in the 1960's. It had a dirt floor in the crawl space with bare, block, masonry foundation walls. It also had old, damp insulation that was falling down from the joist spaces. American Waterworks came in, removed the old insulation, laid down a 2-layer moisture barrier system and spray foamed the foundation walls and rim joist area. I can't believe what a difference this has made to our air quality and floors. We used to have to wipe down the windows every morning during the winter because of condensation. Not anymore! I would highly recommend this company if you have the same needs!

What a great crew! They seem to be very thorough at their job. We will have to wait and see if all is good. Right now, I can say, even though the work was done inside the house, they were very courteous and friendly. They covered all the areas of the floor when they would be working inside and walking in. They cleaned everything up! They worked hard to get the job done in a timely manner. I will come back in a year to make sure all is well. I highly recommend this company.

Cakota, MN, Sump Pump Replaced

A homeowner in Cokato, MN, noticed their sump pump was not pushing out as much water as it was prior. Instead of ignoring the issue, the homeowner decided to look into sump pump replacements. The homeowner remembered that American Waterworks had done work around their neighborhood in the past, so they decided to take a closer look into our services. Impressed by our sump pump options and services, the homeowner felt confident to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Ryan. Once Ryan arrived, he started his inspection of the sump pump and basement. After concluding his inspection, Ryan confirmed that the sump pump required replacement. The homeowner knew that this would be a long-term fix, so they agreed with Ryan's suggestions and production began. Our Foreman, Francisco, and his crew arrived at the home to begin the project. First, the crew took out the old sump pump in the home. Once the old sump pump was removed, the crew could dig a feedline channel across the basement floor. Next, the crew installed the SuperSump+, an UltaSump battery-powered pump that can operate when the power goes out. Once the SuperSump+ was installed, the crew placed the feedline tube into the channel and connected it to the sump pump. Additionally, the crew installed an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. The IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting installed outside your home and ejects water away from the foundation in case the discharge line freezes or becomes clogged. After all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their site and left the home. The homeowners were grateful to know their sump pump is brand new and will last long. Severely Cracked Foundation Walls Stabilized with Wall Anchors

Blake C. in Cokato, MN was concerned about his foundation walls that were quickly deteriorating. They had large cracks through them and one of the walls was starting to bow inward. He decided he needed to find a solution before the foundation failed altogether, so he contacted the foundation repair experts at American Waterworks.

We successfully restored Blake's foundation by installing wall anchors on each of the damaged walls. We drilled long metal rods through the walls into the soil, and then secured them with anchor plates on each end. The anchors were tightened, and the wall stabilized. The anchors should also be tightened over time to continue improving the security of the foundation. Blake is glad he chose to permanently protect the foundation of his home.
