PolyLevel Saves Sidewalk in Fairfax, MN

A homeowner in Fairfax, MN, was finishing up yard work when they realized their driveway and concrete were in desperate need of assistance. Wanting to avoid replacing the entire slab, the homeowner looked into concrete repair options. With these requirements, the search was filtered down. One of the first companies that jumped out at them was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our services, the homeowner decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. Soon after the estimate was made, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Kevin, to investigate. Kevin arrived at the home and introduced themselves to the homeowners, then they began the concrete evaluation. Once he was complete, Kevin determined the sinkage and cracks were caused by soil settlement. To avoid total replacement, Kevin suggested that the homeowner lift and level the sidewalk with our PolyLevel. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Kevin's suggestions and production began. Our Formen, Dylon and his crew traveled to the home to begin the PolyLevel and NexusPro installation. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once everything was complete, Dylon and his crew cleaned up their materials and left. The homeowner was thankful that their sidewalk was properly repaired. Waterproofed Basement in Fairfax, MN

Gladys C. of Fairfax, MN had water leaking in her basement and called American Waterworks to set up a Free Estimate. We sent out our Design Specialist, Jeremy Radtke, to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Gladys was comfortable with the inspection and proposal, so she went ahead with the project.

Our Foreman, Arturo Mares, and his production crew began the installation by breaking out the concrete with a jackhammer around part of the basement perimeter to form a trench. In that trench, our team installed 10 feet of our WaterGuard System, which catches water seepage from basement walls and serves as an underground drainage system. Next, our team installed our SuperSump Plus M53, which is made to keep basements dry for a long period of time. From the sump pump discharge line, our crew installs our LawnScape Outlet outside of the home for water to escape the home. To complete the project, Arturo and his team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Gladys was very satisfied with the project, and was glad American Waterworks was able to save the life of her basement!
