Bowing Basement Walls Straightened and Stabilized in Good Thunder, MN Bowing Basement Walls Straightened and Stabilized in Good Thunder, MN

Dean D. in Good Thunder, MN contacted us when he noticed that he had two severely bowing walls in his finished basement. We sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his walls, develop the right solution for his situation and provide him with a FREE estimate. We recommended installing wall anchors because they would permanently stabilize and start to straighten his walls and it would be far more cost-effective than replacing the foundation. He liked our solution and enjoyed working with our Specialist, so he scheduled the installation.

In order to get to the block foundation, we had to remove the drywall. We excavated the soil around the sides of the home with the bowing walls. This helps up straighten the walls back to their original position. Then we drilled small holes through the block foundation walls into the soil. We inserted long metal rods, and once the rods were in place, we secured each end with anchor plates. We tightened the anchors as far as they could go, and the wall started to straighten. Dean's basement walls have been permanently stabilized with the installation of the wall anchors. He is glad he chose to protect the foundation of his home.

Job Stories From Good Thunder, MN
Dehumidifier Creates a Healthier Home in Good Thunder, MN

Robert D. in Good Thunder, MN was experiencing very high humidity in his basement. While he was visiting a local home show, he stopped at the American Waterworks booth to discuss his humidity challenges. One of our Design Specialists talked to him about his options and highly recommended having the SaniDry Upright put in his basement. Robert felt this was the most appropriate solution for his problem, so he set a time for an installer to come out.

The SaniDry uses a powerful blowing motor that circulates dry air throughout the space, aggressively drying out the basement. Collected water is then drained into a sump pump pit, a section of your perimeter drains, or away via a condensate pump. It can remove up to 109 liters of water per day. After Robert had the SaniDry installed in his basement, he noticed the humidity in his basement had dramatically decreased. He was pleased with his purchase and is glad his basement is protected from humidity.
