Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor, a SuperSump sump pump, and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, where it is then pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. The CleanSpace vapor barrier brightens the basement while protecting it from moisture and potential mold growth. To begin the installation, our foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew broke out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to form a waterway. Next, they broke out the concrete down the middle of the basement floor to form a feed line to the other end of the basement. Finally, once the concrete was lifted to the original height, the crew filled the holes and other empty joints with NexusPro sealant. They sprinkled a layer of native sand on top of the sealant to create a more visually pleasing look to the walkway and finish the project.
