Concrete Walkway in Jamestown, ND, Gets Lifted

In Jamestown, ND, a homeowner had noticed that the concrete slabs along their walkway and driveway began sinking, causing areas to become uneven and form bumps. Concerned it would negatively impact the value of their home and cause trip hazards, the homeowner began looking for concrete leveling services in the area and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our reviews, the homeowner knew we would be the right contractor for their home improvement project. They soon contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Dylan J., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, Dylan. took precise measurements to see how far the slabs have sunken and determined the areas that needed lifting. He also noticed signs of soil washout. Soil washout is the process in which water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soil, keeping slabs upright. Over time, this causes gaps and voids in the soil, and the slabs would begin to sink and form cracks. After explaining this and reporting his findings, he began working on a detailed solution. Dylan recommended installing PolyLevel, our poly foam expanding solution that is installed beneath the slabs, effectively lifting them. Unlike traditional methods like mudjacking, PolyLevel cures in minutes and allows for easy cleanup. Along with PolyLevel, NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant was recommended to seal the joint. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Charlie C., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling small holes into the concrete slabs. Then, PolyLevel was injected beneath the slabs, filling in gaps in the soil. Once the slabs have been lifted to the desired height, the crew ensures it is level before sealing the holes. Lastly, the joints were sealed with NexusPro.
