The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching it to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Next, the crew installed an Aprilaire, a high-capacity solution that can help you achieve complete comfort through humidity control. Finally, the crew shifted outside and installed an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. An IceGuard allows water to escape if a sump pump discharge line freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. First, they began by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the TripleSafe to the new WaterGuard. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace on the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching it to the basement walls with drilled-in plastic fasteners.
