Inward Bowing Wall in Minnetonka, MN Inward Bowing Wall in Minnetonka, MN

Lennie A. in Minnetonka, MN had an inward bowing wall in his storage building behind his home. He was concerned about the damage it was causing to the foundation. His realtor recommended that he call American Waterworks to help repair his foundation, so he gave us a call and scheduled a FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to his home to inspect the foundation and provide a solution. Chad recommended that we install wall anchors on the bowing wall which would permanently stabilize and secure it. Lennie agreed that was the best option for him, so they scheduled a date for the installation.

Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his crew drilled the rods of the anchors through the brick wall, until the rods reached stable soil. Then, they placed plates on each end of the right and tightened them. In total, they installed 4 anchors along the wall. Lennie was pleased that he could see a dramatic change in the stability of the wall almost immediately. Our wall anchors are guaranteed for a lifetime, so Lennie has peace of mind that he chose a permanent foundation repair option that will always protect that foundation wall.

Job Stories From Minnetonka, MN
Basement Waterproofing in Minnetonka, MN

TJU Construction was working on repairing a home in Minnetonka, MN to put on the market. While restoring the home, they realized they needed to have the basement waterproofed because water was seeping in and was causing damage to the home. They knew the home would be very hard to sell with a basement in that condition, so they contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate.

We sent one of our Design Specialists, Eric Hazelton, to the home to provide TJU Construction with a solution. Eric determined that the best option to waterproof the basement was to install a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system and a new sump pump. TJU construction agreed and liked the proposal that Eric developed, so they scheduled the installation.

Our production team installed 126 ft. of WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and our SuperSump sump pump in one of the corners. The WaterGuard properly guides water to the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and it is expelled to the outside of the home. The waterproofing process took two days to complete, but our system has a lifetime guarantee and is transferable to anyone who purchases the home. That basement will always be protected and whoever lives there will have peace of mind that they have a top of the line waterproofing system keeping their home dry.

Water coming in from seam in the basement/floor wall.

Your company previously placed our Earth Anchors in the home that we just purchased a couple of weeks ago, that is working well! In the meantime we have been getting water in the lower level. The water is coming in at the floor level near our laundry room area and the old cellar/well room, coming in at the junction seam of the floor and wall, as well as through a crack in the floor. Obviously, the spring has been ridiculously wet, but we would like to have a professional opinion investigate the issue. We do have photos if that is something that will help to explain things better. We look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Dan & Leah Rodemann

Due to wash off the roof over the years, the foundation of the house has shifted and now the front corner of the house in the kitchen has dropped. The floors are sloping and we need the foundation repaired and the house brought back up to level the flooors before we can renovate. There is a crawl space under the kitchen for access.

My parent's had a block foundation put in for a garage in 1952. They never built the garage. The top row of block has been exposed and walked on and half of the concrete blocks are now loose. How do I find out if the in ground majority of the foundation is safe and how to repair the top row of block? The ground is stable. No major problems otherwise.

Do you only do inside work? I have a crack in my foundation (and neighbor's land that slopes down to my house) that is causing water to leak through. The water is coming up thru my basement floor in a closet. I am NOT looking for the most expensive options (drain tiles, etc). Thanks.
Vicinity of Westmill RD in Minnetonka
I have a home on a hill, near natural springs and I have clay soil. Both the East and West sides of the home has been sinking. There is a noticeable downslope in the concrete floor on the West side. The center seems pretty solid. The owner before me had the house lifted off the foundation and the upstairs is pretty level yet. I've been in this home 4 years and I havn't seen much movement myself, however, every once and a while you hear a crack meaning the house moved.

The crawlspace is about 360 sqft and about 3 feet tall. I have a small gap from the basement that I can see it and there appears to be moisture on some boards in there. I would like to get rid of the smell, clean up the crawlspace, moisture proof it and insulate it (it is currently conditioned and unventilated, but I don't think it breathes well with the house). Another problem is that there is no access. Do you create crawlspace access? I want to widen the gap in the concrete block foundation from within my utility room. The access to the crawlspace would be a little bigger than 2'x 2'.

WE have a full basement with a crawl space under an addition. There seems to be a significant fracture and shift in the foundation in the crawlspace area.
