Push Piers Help Sustain Home in Ellsworth, MN

In Ellsworth, MN, Erin D.’s crawl space was settling, and she was unsure of how to handle the situation. After doing some research online, she called American Waterworks and set up a Free Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton, went out to her house to inspect the issue and wrote up a proposal to solve the problem. After all of Erin’s questions were answered and she was satisfied with the plan, she moved forward with the project.

Our foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his production crew started the Push Pier Foundation System installation by excavating all the soil around the foundation, allowing enough room for the guys to begin and complete the installation. Then, they installed a strong steel bracket underneath the foundation. Next, the piers were pushed through the bracket until it hit supportive soil. The weight of the home was carefully shifted onto the piers which stabilized and supported the home. Push piers are the best foundation repair system when soil circumstances are poor, providing a long-term solution for any settlement problems. After the push pier installation was complete, Hugo and his crew replaced the soil.

Joseph and Angela J. of Reading, MN wanted to get a sump pump installed in their basement, so they contacted American Waterworks after hearing about us through word of mouth. Joseph and Angela were confident with the proposal, so they scheduled a date for the installation.

Our production team started the installation by introducing themselves to the homeowners and ensuring all of their questions were answered. After a thorough introduction, our team got to work and broke out the concrete floor with a jackhammer, forming a miniature-sized hole.
