Heather C. in Sparta, WI had water leaking into her basement through her foundation wall causing damage to her home. She contacted American Waterworks, and one of our waterproofing experts, Rick Weber, designed a thorough solution. Heather was impressed with the solution, so she chose to move forward with the installation.

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard. After installing the SuperSump sump pump and laying 182 feet of the WaterGuard, they replaced the concrete and installed the Foamax wall panels. Foamax is an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel designed to prevent condensation and make the basement a more comfortable space. Water is now properly expelled from the home and the walls have been permanently stabilized. Her basement is now a stable, dry and clean space.

Job Stories From Sparta, WI
Sparta, WI Concrete Repair Solutions

In Sparta, WI, a homeowner was experiencing sunken concrete around their home and had caused trip hazards to form. Knowing the issue would worsen over time and lead to additional safety risks, the homeowner began searching for concrete driveway repair and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our before and after concrete repair images, the homeowner knew we would be the right company for their home improvement project. Determined to find a lasting solution, they contacted our Appointment Center to schedule their FREE estimate with one of our trained experts.

In about a week, our Design Specialist, Michel R., arrived at the home for a thorough inspection. During the inspection, Michel took a close look at the driveway, patio, and walkway, measuring how much the slabs had settled. After reporting his findings, he also explained how soil expansion and contraction is one of the most common causes of sinking slabs. As the weather shifts, so does the soil beneath the slabs. When it's warm, it often contracts, causing gaps to form in the soil. Eventually this leads to the slabs sinking and forming cracks. To restore their driveway, walkway, and patio, Michel recommended using PolyLevel, our poly foam expanding solution installed beneath the slabs to effectively lift them, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant to seal the joints and repair the cracks that have formed. Unlike traditional methods like mudjacking, PolyLevel cures in seconds, allowing homeowners to enjoy their improved concrete in the same day. Happy with the recommendations, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Dylon V., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling small holes into the sunken slabs. Then, PolyLevel was injected beneath, filing in the voids in the soil. Once the slabs have been lifted to the desired height, the crew ensures it is level before sealing the holes. Lastly, they applied NexusPro, along the joints and the cracks providing a seamless look. Now, our customer can have peace of mind! Experiencing sunken concrete slabs? Water Leaks Waterproofed in Sparta, WI

In Sparta, WI, a homeowner noticed water stains along the edges of their basement floor. Concerned about mold growth, the homeowner began looking into basement waterproofing contractors around the area and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our basement waterproofing before and after photos, the homeowner knew we would be the right contractor for their home improvement journey. They soon contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate with one of our trained experts.

In less than a week, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection. During the inspection, they took a close look around the basement, taking note of the areas where water leaks were present. They also explained how hydrostatic pressure is one of the most common causes of basement water issues. When it rains or floods, water pools around the home. Having nowhere to go but downward, the water enters the home through weak points in the foundation. After explaining this and reporting their findings to the homeowner, our Design Specialist created a solution to waterproof the basement. They recommended installing WaterGuard, our interior drainage system that directs water leaks to the sump system. Happy that our products come with a warranty, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Luis D., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling along the edges of the floor to create a trench. Then, clean gravel is placed, and WaterGuard is added on top. It is then connected to the sump system to make sure it can safely remove the water. Once this is completed, the flooring is restored. The crew successfully installed 27ft of WaterGuard. That way, our customer will no longer experience water leaks along the edges of their floor! Looking for basement waterproofing in the area? Snow Melt Causes Basement Flooding in Sparta, WI

In Sparta, WI, a homeowner was looking through the weather for the week and noticed it was going to warm up. Concerned that the snow around their home would melt and enter their basement, the homeowner began looking into basement waterproofing contractors around the area and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our 5-star reviews, the homeowner contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Ryan K., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection. During the inspection, Ryan tested the humidity levels in the basement and took note of the areas where water leaks were present. He also explained how hydrostatic pressure is one of the most common causes of water leaks in basements. Hydrostatic pressure is pressure exerted by a liquid. In this case, when the snow melts, water pools around the home and soaks into the soil. Water then forces itself through weak points in the foundation, entering the basement. After explaining this to the homeowner and reporting his findings, he began working on a detailed solution. Ryan recommended installing WaterGuard, our interior drainage system that directs water leaks to the sump system, CleanSpace, our vapor wall liner that prevents water vapor from permeating the walls, TripleSafe, our reliable sump system with three levels of protection, IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to escape in freezing temperatures to prevent sump burnout, and Aprilaire, our strong dehumidifier. After looking over the proposal, the homeowner was happy to see all our products come with a warranty and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Kiko P., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by installing CleanSpace to the walls using drilled-in fasteners to ensure it remains in place. Then the crew drills around the perimeter of the floor and adds clean rocks. WaterGuard is then placed on top. Next, they created a sump pit and installed TripleSafe. IceGuard was then installed at the exterior of the home and connected to the sump system. Once all the waterproofing systems were connected, the crew installed the dehumidifier and restored the flooring. The crew was able to successfully install 34ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace, 1 TripleSafe, 2 IceGuards, and 1 Aprilaire.

Sparta, WI, Settled Concrete Lifted

In Sparta, WI, a homeowner was growing increasingly concerned with the appearance and stability of their uneven and damaged concrete. They knew the condition might worsen, allowing water to seep through and potentially cause further damage. With these thoughts in mind, they reached out to us at American Waterworks, opting for our complimentary concrete repair estimate to get to the heart of the issue. Our Appointment Specialist promptly scheduled a thorough home inspection. Upon arriving, our Design Specialist meticulously examined the problematic concrete and diagnosed the underlying issues. Their recommendation? The combination of our renowned PolyLevel® and NexusPro® systems ensures a stable and aesthetically pleasing fix. Our dedicated production team, equipped with a Foreman and skilled installers, began with the installation process. Using the PolyLevel® system, we drilled small, precise holes into the affected concrete slab. Through these entrances, we introduced our specialized high-strength polyurethane foam, allowing it to expand and meticulously lift the concrete back to its intended position. This stabilization process was finished off with our NexusPro® Joint Sealant. This product was carefully applied along cracks and joints, ensuring water would no longer infiltrate and compromise the soil beneath, regardless of weather fluctuations. Once the job was complete, the homeowner stood satisfied, witnessing the transformation. Their concrete surfaces were not only level and stable but also better protected against future elements. With matched expertise and durable solutions, the homeowner now had a renewed confidence in their exterior’s reliability and visual appeal, knowing it was expertly handled by American Waterworks.

Sinking Driveway Lifted with PolyLevel in Sparta, WI

A homeowner in Sparta, WI, noticed that his concrete slabs have begun sinking, causing a trip hazard to form due to their unevenness. Knowing the issue would only continue to worsen and lead to further issues down the road, the homeowner began to search for "best concrete lifting services in Sparta, WI" and found a list of contractors. After looking through everyone's website, the homeowner knew that we were the best choice based on reviews and before-and-after photos. So, he contacted us to schedule his FREE concrete estimate.

In about a week, our Design Specialist, Will R., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions the homeowner had, and provide the best solution. During the inspection, Will explained to the homeowner that soil washout is one of the most common causes of sinking concrete slabs. He explained that soil washout is the process in which water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slabs upright. This process is especially common in the Midwest, as we often get rain and floods. To fix this issue, Will recommended PolyLevel, our modernized solution for concrete lifting. PolyLevel works by first drilling small holes into the slabs. Then, PolyLevel is injected beneath the slab, filling in the voids and space in the soil (due to soil washout). As it fills in the empty spaces, it also compacts the soil before lifting it. PolyLevel is not only a quick and effective solution, but it is made of a completely waterproof material, preventing soil washout in the future. Alongside PolyLevel, Will also recommended NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility and long-lasting durability unlike traditional sealants, to be applied along the joints. After looking over Will's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to his recommendation and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew lifted the driveway as well as the walkway with PolyLevel. Once they were done with lifting the concrete slabs, they sealed the joints with NexusPro. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Once the homeowner approves, Will send the proposal to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Our Logistics team built the project and then scheduled it for a few weeks later. Once the project date arrived, our Foreman, Sam and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Sam and his crew focus on lifting the concrete with PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the SuperSump+ to the new WaterGuard. Next, the crew went outside and installed an IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed on the outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation in the event the sump pump discharge line freezes or becomes clogged. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was happy to know their sump pump was properly working.
