Sunken Concrete Apron Lifted in Stillwater, MN

A homeowner in Stillwater, MN was frustrated with his concrete apron at the top of the driveway. Over time as some of the slabs started to sink, a few cracks had formed in the surface and also left the joints emptier as the concrete pulled apart. He knew he wanted to find a reasonable solution while it was still warm out, so he went online determined to find a solution. The American Waterworks website showed up in his search and after looking through our products and services, he knew we were the right choice to take on the concrete and signed up for a FREE estimate. We received the homeowner's request and sent over one of our Design Specialists, Mitch Strain, to the home to inspect the driveway apron and speak more with the homeowner. Mitch explained his plan for repairs and the homeowner agreed to move forward with the plans. Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his crew went to the site to carry out the installations. They first focused on lifting the sunken areas with our PolyLevel solution. They drilled small holes around the driveway and inserted ports through them to connect to the empty space below the concrete. Then they injected the PolyLevel through the ports until lifted to the original height. The expanding properties of the polyurethane allow for an accurate leveling of the slab. Once everything was lifted, the crew filled in the holes and remaining joints and cracks with NexusPro, a flexible sealant that provides long-lasting results and durability. To finish the project, they sprinkled some native sand on top of the sealant for a smooth and pleasant look to the driveway apron. Our crew made sure the homeowner was happy with the results before cleaning up their materials and leaving the site.

Front Walkway Restored in Stillwater, MN

A homeowner in Stillwater, MN was enjoying his front yard space when he noticed some problems with the front walkway. He found that some of the concrete slabs had sunken a lot, creating uneven surfaces that looked unpleasant and could even act as a tripping hazard. The first slab had sunken to the point where he could see where it used to be in relation to the front step, and it had created a large crack. He decided that looking into some repairs would be the best course of action. Looking online for well-known companies, he found our website and was impressed with the American Waterworks reviews from past customers. He decided to schedule a FREE estimate with us, and Design Specialist Mitch Strain later visited the home to do an analysis of the walkway. Mitch informed the homeowner that there was a way to fix the problems he was concerned about with some product installations. The homeowner agreed with the plans and once they were approved, were sent over to Foreman Dylon Mish and his crew. When the crew went to the site, they began the project by drilling small pencil-sized holes throughout the front walkway. Then, they inserted ports inside the holes to reach the empty space below the slabs. Our PolyLevel foam was injected through the ports to fill in the empty space and carefully lift the slabs back up. Next, they used NexusPro crack repair sealant to fill in the holes again, the joints in between the slabs, and the large crack on the first slab. To finish the project, the crew sprinkled a layer of native sand on top of the NexusPro for a smooth finish. The homeowner loved the results and was happy he found our company to help him out with this project.

Several Repairs in Stillwater, MN

A homeowner in Stillwater, MN, knew it was time to have their foundation and concrete inspected around their home. Unsure of who to work with, the homeowner decide to do some research into foundation repair companies near them. The homeowner came across our website and saw that we also offer concrete repair services. Immediately interested, the homeowner decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, Dylan, one of our Design Specialists, traveled to the home to complete the estimate. Dylan greeted the homeowner and started inspecting the concrete and foundation. Once the inspection was complete, Dylan determined the home's foundation was settling and the sidewalk was sinking. Dylan recommended that these issues be resolved before the problem worsened, and the homeowner agreed. Dylan came up with a plan of action and sent it to the assigned crews. Our Foreman, Jose, and his crew arrived at the home to install the Helical Piers. These piers permanently stabilize your home's foundation and can lift it back to the proper level. The steel piers are screwed mechanically into the soil and are installed to the appropriate capacities and depths. The weight of the home is transferred from the original, unstable soil through the piers to competent soil. Next, our Foreman, Dylon and his crew arrived at the home to install the PolyLevel to lift and level the soil. The PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, is inserted underneath the affected concrete. To install the PolyLevel, the crew strategically drills small 5/8" holes into the concrete slab. Next, the injection ports are installed in the small holes. Then, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. After the PolyLevel was successfully installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know all their issues had been resolved. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Nate arrived at the home and introduced himself to the homeowners, then he began the concrete evaluation. Once he was complete Nate discovered that the sidewalk was sinking into the ground. To stop the sidewalk from sinking further, Nate suggested that the homeowner lift and level the sidewalk with our PolyLevel. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with his recommendations and production began. Concrete Walkway Gets Lifted in Stillwater, MN

Matt and Christine, of Stillwater, MN, got in contact with us when they began to notice the concrete slabs of their front patio were sinking, causing water to drain towards the foundation. They were afraid if they didn't look into fixing the issue, they would face water damage in their home or an increased risk of a tripping hazard due to the uneven concrete. When they called in, we set them up with one of our FREE estimates with one of our Design Specialists, Chuck. Once Chuck arrived at the property, he did a three-hour thorough inspection into the issue and in the end, made his recommendations as to how we could help the couple. Chuck recommended that they let us lift the concrete using our PolyLevel injection, and finish off the project by sealing the project in with our NexusPro solution. Chuck went on to explain that our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete slab to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raises and stabilizes the concrete surface. The process for this injection is fairly quick and non-invasive for the homeowner. The slabs in question can be ready to use in 15 minutes from the time the solution is injected. Chuck also explained that our NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks and is specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, meaning it won't crack, bubble, or dry out which translates into a long-lasting seal on your concrete. The couple agreed to the work and renovations began shortly after.

Our Foreman Tyler and his crew began the process by strategically drilling holes into the problem slabs. Next, they injected the foam into the holes and closely monitored the raising process to ensure that the slabs got back to their original position. Once the slabs got back into place, they finished the project by applying our NexusPro solution to the joints, the space between the home's foundation and the concrete, and the cracks that had formed on the slabs of concrete to ensure that no water would get under the slabs.

Once the job had been completed, the homeowners were happy to see that the level concrete would keep water away from the home.
