Bill and Judith K. of Darwin, MN had a cracked foundation wall, making them worry about the strength and stability of their home. They got in contact with American Waterworks after seeing one of our commercials on local television. They called our office line and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to their home, inspected their foundation wall, and determined the solution of our Wall Anchor System. Bill and Judith got all of their questions answered about our wall anchors and they felt confident in the design, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman and his production team started the installation by digging four small holes outside beyond the foundation. From the interior foundation, our team inserted a long, metal rod to each hole outside of the home. At the ends of each rod, our crew installed an anchor plate beyond the foundation, which anchored the rod in place. From the interior foundation, our team installed and tightened a wall anchor, which stops inward movement entirely. Over time, this will move the foundation wall back to its original position. Our Wall Anchor System is the most versatile wall repair method because it stabilizes walls with multiple problems, including bowing and tipping walls, and walls that push in at the bottom. To complete the project, our crew backfilled each hole, compacted the soil, and ensured the yard was neater than when they found it.
We provide services in foundation repair, basement waterproofing, crawl space repair/encapsulation, radon testing/mitigation, and concrete repair/lifting at American Waterworks. Call us today or click HERE to request and schedule your FREE estimate!
A homeowner in Darwin, MN, knew it was time to peek at the crawl space underneath their home. Once they saw the status of their crawl space, they knew they needed a professional to check for any possible damage. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner began to look within a 200-mile radius of their home. Near the top of their list was us, American Waterworks. Our high ratings and reviews caught the homeowner's eye, so they decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of one of our Design Specialists. The Design Specialist arrived at the home and started their thorough inspection of the crawl space. Following his inspection, the Design Specialist determined the crawl space required encapsulation. The homeowner knew this was their best option, so they decided to follow along with the suggestion. After they received the stamp approval from the homeowner and the office, they were passed along to our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew. Kiko and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew started by removing all the debris from the crawl space. Once the space was cleared, the crew shifted their focus to laying the Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace in the crawl space floors and walls. Additionally, the crew was asked to wrap the piers in the crawl space. Finally, the crew installed the Everlast crawl space door cover for the crawl space. Once all the products were installed, the crew could clean up their materials and leave the home. The homeowner was impressed with the jaw-dropping crawl space before and after. American Waterworks is happy to encapsulate its homeowner's struggling crawl space
Jeff, of Fertile, MN, reached out for support with the local golf course, Sandhill River Golf Course. A 16ft. wide cart bridge on the course needed support, as the soil beneath was settling and the bridge was becoming unsafe. Design Specialist Richie went to look at the issue after Jeff contacted us for a FREE estimate. After a thorough examination, Richie recommended that Jeff and the club invest in helical deck piers. These plates have used proven structural engineering technology for years to repair damaged foundations and overcome problems caused by weak and unstable soil conditions. Weak or unstable soil near the surface isn't a problem because piers can be driven to reach robust and stable soil at greater depths. Jeff was happy with the proposal, and we got to work!
Foreman Jose and his crew installed 4 of our Helical Piers, designed to create a solid supporting base that transfers the structure's weight downwards to strong supporting soils. The helical-shaped plates on the shank of a helical pier are engineered so that the dock can be turned into the ground like a giant screw. Rotational resistance is measured as the pier is installed to ensure that the dock is solidly anchored in the soil. Our helical piers were installed to lift the bridge back to its original position. The team mechanically screwed sections of the helical pier into the soil. Once the dock met its depths, our crew installed foundation brackets below the footing. The bridge's weight could transfer through the helical pier to deep soils. Lastly, Jose and his crew replaced the soil to ensure the space looked neater than when they found it. Terri O. of Crookston, MN had water leaking from their pre-existing sump pump, making them feel nervous about water moisture problems. They got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to their home, inspected their sump pump, and came up with a solution. Terri was confident in Chad's proposal, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his crew began the project by breaking out the concrete around the pre-existing sump pump and replacing it with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Our TripleSafe is made to keep basements dry for long periods of time, it provides three levels of protection, and it solves all three water problems in one system. To finish the project, our team applied new concrete around the sump pump.

Lisa and Gary B. were getting water in their basement every spring. They got sick and tired of the maintenance, so they contacted our team to schedule a FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Ian, went to their home, inspected their entire basement, and drew out a solution. Lisa and Gary were confident in Ian's plan, so they signed his contract, wrote out a deposit check, and set up a date for the installation.
Our Foreman, Corey, and his production crew began the project by installing 144 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier. Our CleanSpace is a waterproof vapor barrier that covers holes and divots, prevents mold and mildew, and directs water into the drainage system. Next, our team installed our DryTrak Baseboard Basement Drain Pipe. Our DryTrak is specifically made for floors that are poured as just one piece; the floor itself and the footing. For this system, no jackhammering is needed, it stays above the mud zone, and it collects water seepage from basement walls. Lisa and Gary were happy with the work that was done and could not believe the beautifying transformation!
Our professionals sell and install more systems besides basement waterproofing. We also perform work in foundation repair, crawl space repair/encapsulation, radon testing/mitigation, and concrete lifting/repair. Call us today to schedule your FREE estimate!
