Rolf, a homeowner in Waubun, MN, realized that his crawl space needed some attention. A number of comfort and energy problems are caused by inadequate or incorrect crawl space insulation. Specifically, with musty smells, mold, and moisture issues, Rolf decided he needed to call American Waterworks for a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Kole, headed to the property for an inspection. Following the inspection, Kole made his recommendations and answered all questions, and Rolf made an appointment to implement solutions.

 Our Foreman and his crew began the project by clearing debris and readying the spaces for installation. They then went to work installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that gets installed right onto the problem walls, and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. The crew also used spray foam to seal and waterproof the homeowner's crawl space. Our spray foam is designed to keep the heat inside and prevent cool air from coming in. Rolf was grateful for the support and guidance of American Waterworks in protecting his home!

A homeowner in Waubun, MN, thought it was a good idea to get the radon in their home tested. Once the test was complete, the results showed a high amount of radon. The worried homeowner searched for a solution for this potentially dangerous issue. After thorough research, the homeowner discovered that American Waterworks installed radon mitigation systems. Then, Kole inspected the home's exterior to determine where the radon mitigation system would be installed. Once the placement was determined, Kole drew up a solution and received approval from the homeowners. The plans were sent to the crew and they were set out to the home. After they arrived, the crew entered the crawl space to begin the installation process. The crew began by extracting the crawl space entrance and running pipes into the crawl space while extracting as well. Additionally, the crew installed a fan on the North side of the crawlspace. They successfully installed the radon mitigation system in the home. The homeowner was grateful to know they do not run the risk of high radon levels in their home. A male homeowner of Silver Lake, MN had uneven and sunken concrete. He wanted it to be lifted and stabilized to reduce tripping hazards and to boost his curb appeal. He worked with American Waterworks for the project. Our design specialist, Kevin, was able to propose the solution of our PolyLevel and educate him on the process while our Foreman, Troy, injected the solution underneath the concrete to stabilize and even out the surface. Overall, the homeowner had a wonderful experience and was very impressed by the transformation.

Michael H. of Bluffton, MN had water coming in through the sidewall of his basement during rainstorms, and he wanted to get it looked at by a professional. He researched contractors on HomeAdvisor and came across American Waterworks so he requested a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Roger. Roger went to Michael's home, carefully inspected his problem, and drew out a solution. Roger proposed our WaterGuard BelowFloor Drain, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain and collects water from basement walls. Michael felt confident in the proposal, so he signed the contract and went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter and in front of the steps, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, filled the open gaps with river rock, and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the basement was neater than when they found it.

Joe, from Bertha, MN, got in touch with us when he had enough of dealing with unwanted water intrusion in his basement. He wanted to know what could be done, so he called our office and we set him up with our FREE  estimate. A few weeks later one of our Design Specialists, Daniel, headed out the property to assess the situation. Once he concluded his walkthrough, he informed the homeowner that his sump pump was a bit outdated, meaning it wouldn't be as affective in times of heavy rainfall.
